A US intelligence assessment has laid bare Israel’s indiscriminate bombing of the besieged Gaza Strip, revealing that nearly half the regime’s air-to-surface munitions dropped on Gaza in the past few months, were unguided bombs.
The assessment was conducted by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and has been reported by news outlet CNN.
These bombs are known as dumb bombs since they are typically less precise and pose a greater threat to civilians.
According to assessments, about 40 to 45 percent of the 29,000 air-to-ground munitions Israel has used have been unguided.
This means that the Israeli military has used more than 13,000 so-called dumb bombs in its devastating airstrikes on the coastal territory, turning it into a virtual graveyard.
Gaza, let’s remember is one of the world’s most densely populated areas.
Before the war started, more than 2 million people were cramped into a strip that was smaller than Mobile, Alabama, meaning that Gaza actually has a bigger population density than Chicago or DC.
And so what we’ve seen here with the dropping of enormous numbers of dumb bombs, as they are called, this really constitutes a war crime.

Unguided bombs are more than likely to fall wide of the intended target and pose a significant threat to the civilian population, especially the vulnerable.
The weapons lack any internal guidance systems or kits to improve their aim and generally follow the trajectory at which they are dropped.
The US has itself been providing the regime with unguided munitions, including five thousand Mk82 bombs.
Under international law, weapons are considered indiscriminate if they are not directed at military targets, and instead, target civilian sites, which is exactly what has been happening in Gaza.
But what they’re really trying to do there is just distance themselves from Israeli destruction. Where are these bombs coming from, I think we have to ask ourselves?
The vast majority of Israeli international arms purchases come from the United States, and the Biden administration has just been rubber stamping a $14.5 billion arms deal to Israel, and that’s aid not even selling, so they’re not even making a profit on this.
They are giving the Israelis the weapons that they are using to carpet bomb Gaza.

Indiscriminate bombing is a violation of the Geneva Conventions and is widely regarded as a war crime. Experts have called it pure terrorism.
The revelation comes amid Israeli claims that its army is committed to international law and a moral code of conduct to minimize harm to civilians.
Experts, however, argue that the use of such munitions by the regime undercuts such claims. Israel has dropped over 29,000 bombs on the densely populated coastal strip since the onslaught began on October the seventh.
This is just a form of genocide; Israeli officials are very clear that they want to drive out Palestinians, they’re trying to ethnically cleanse, and this has nothing to do with October 7th anymore.
This has to do with the fact that the Zionist government wants to take over more land, and drive out more Palestinians, and that’s been what the Zionist movement has been doing for 75 years.
Obviously at each stage, it’s a little bit different how it works out, In this case, what we’re seeing is the worst level of slaughter.

Israel’s indiscriminate bombing of Gaza has killed over 20,000 Palestinians and injured more than 50,000 others, the majority of whom were women and children.
Thousands more are missing and believed to be trapped under the rubble. One of the objectives of using unguided bombs is to turn the civilian population of Gaza against the Hamas resistance movement.
However, an opinion poll taken in Palestine shows a rise in support for Hamas, which appears to have ticked up even in the devastated Gaza Strip.
Any arrangement in Gaza or in the Palestinian cause without Hamas or the resistance factions is a delusion and a Mirage, a delusion and a mirage.
Ismail Haniyeh, Hamas Political Chief
The poll found that 72 percent of respondents believed Hamas was correct to launch the October 7 retaliatory attack. Hamas says the Palestinian resistance remains firm in its battle against the Israeli military.
Although tens of thousands of Gazans have been killed or wounded in the Israeli onslaught., they have put up a stiff resistance against the invaders.
As for the Palestinian resistance, it is standing, hitting hard and inflicting significant losses, whether in the Israeli invading vehicles or troops, at the same time, we are saddened by what we all witnessed, of suffering of our people as a result of the Israeli genocide war, which targets indiscriminately all areas across Gaza.
Ghazi Hamad, Senior Hamas Official
Hamas asserts it will not bow down to the pressure by Israel and the United States. Israel has had no significant battlefield achievements so far, and its forces have resorted to a propaganda campaign, such as arresting civilians in schools, claiming they are prisoners from Hamas.
The resistance movement will not be eliminated and is capable of defeating the occupation forces.
