Major General Hossein Salami made the remarks at a ceremony attended by religious scholars and the commanders of Tehran Basij bases in the capital’s Grand Mussala (Mosque) on Thursday.
The Zionists usurped Palestine with terror and crime for the past 75 years, trying to plunge the Muslim nations into deep ignorance, he said, noting that they are still looking to keep the youth of the Islamic world politically ignorant.
He continued that the Zionists started many wars, adding that the arrogant powers of the world launched wars in Muslim lands in the past 45 years to prevent the emergence of an Islamic governance.
General Salami clarified that Islamic rule requires power and the enemy only understands the logic of power, stating “We have learned today that Jihad is the only way because the enemy does not understand anything other than this.”
“Today, the world is united against the US more than ever and the bloody nature of US policies is showing itself in the world,” General Salami stressed.
He added, “Gaza has created the potential for years of revenge in the hearts of Muslims.”
The siege and massacre of a nation is a crime, he noted, pointing out that the massacre of the people of Gaza will not delay the anticipated collapse of Israel.
“Today, the history of Islam is in one of its most sensitive stages which is one of the most beautiful manifestations of the victory of blood over the sword,” he concluded.
