More than a week after the eruption of the conflict between Palestinians and the Israeli regime, more than 1,000 people are missing under the rubble of buildings in Gaza that were destroyed by Israeli air strikes, Aljazeera reports.
There were injured and dead among them and many others were pulled alive out of the rubble, 24 hours after buildings were struck.
More than 2,700 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli attacks on Gaza with at least 9,700 wounded.
At least four hospitals in northern Gaza are no longer functioning following Israeli bombardments, according to the United Nations.
The World Health Organization said 21 other hospitals in the besieged Strip have been ordered to evacuate by Israel.
The UN health agency warned the “forced evacuation of hospitals may amount to a violation of international humanitarian law”.
On October 7, the Palestinian Resistance movement Hamas launched Operation Al-Aqsa Storm deep into the territories occupied by the Israeli regime. The operation involved large-scale air, land, and sea strikes.
The group said the operation was a reaction to the recurring desecration of the al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied al-Quds as well as intensified Israeli atrocities against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank.
