Hyderabad: Hours after Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy went all out against Tollywood actor Allu Arjun and squarely blamed him for the Sandhya Theatre tragedy, Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy targeted the actor’s movie, ‘Pushpa-2’ and said he had wasted his time doing so

“I watched Pushpa 2 and during those three hours, many other better things could have been done. Save for history and Telangana related movies, I will not watch Telugu movies anymore,” Komatireddy Venkat Reddy further said, adding youngsters were getting spoiled by the movie.

Speaking to the media after visiting the family of Sri Tej, who was injured in the theatre tragedy, the Minister reiterated what he said in the Assembly earlier, that the State government no more permit benefit shows and special screenings of movies. Stating that film actors should work as per law and if police denies permission, they should not attend public programmes and other events, he also said actors should refrain from travelling in open top cars.

Earlier, the Minister handed over a cheque of Rs.25 lakh to Sri Tej’s father Bhaskar from the Prateek Foundation.
