NRIs prefer Hyderabad to buy property

Hyderabad: Not just buyers from other cities and States, even many NRIs were buying property in Hyderabad considering different aspects, including infrastructure, cosmopolitan culture, law and order and others.

Many NRIs, who are planning to settle in India, were buying properties in Hyderabad. This trend of investing in Hyderabad was mostly by NRIs from Dubai, Singapore and Hong Kong and they preferred to invest in ventures around Shamshabad, Patancheru, Gandimaisamma and other areas, DEV Constructions Managing Director Sanjay Kumar Bansal said.

In tune with NRIs, many employees and investors from different cities are buying properties in Hyderabad.

With both husband and wife working and staying away from native places, many IT employees from different cities were buying flats in the city, considering quality education, transportation and other factors. Similarly, businessmen and other community people from Bihar, Ahmedabad and other places were also buying properties here, said CREDAI Hyderabad members at a press conference here on Thursday.

This practice of employees and businessmen buying flats and other properties in Hyderabad was registering a growth of three to four percent annually, they said.

Ruling out slowdown in real estate market in the city, newly elected CREDAI Hyderabad president V Rajashekhar Reddy said according to a latest report, Hyderabad had registered 260 per cent growth in luxury housing segment in the last nine months. The city also recorded the highest new office completion and absorption in the country with 2.9 million square feet of office space transacted in third quarter of 2023, he said.

“Like all these years, we expect the Telangana government to continue its support to CREDAI in the next term as well and help us further boost the brand image of Hyderabad” Rajashekhar Reddy said.

No water scarcity

A builder from Hyderabad, who is executing different real estate projects in Bengaluru, said it takes two to three years to get water connection the Karnataka capital while it takes just two months in Hyderabad.

The issue in Karnataka was mainly due to lack of water and the River Cauvery water dispute. Builders had no choice but to exploit groundwater in many areas of Bengaluru. Even the residents were aware of the situation, said the builder, who is executing a project in Anekal area in Bengaluru.

In Hyderabad, there was plenty of water available in any area, irrespective of west zone or east zone and the water board gives connections in just two months. In addition to this factor, road connectivity was another biggest challenge. Unlike in Hyderabad, the road infrastructure in Bengaluru was poor and this was forcing builders to compromise on many fronts in providing amenities in the projects, he pointed out.

Spain’s ministers denounce ongoing Israeli ‘genocide’ in Gaza

“Bombing hospitals, refugee camps, children, defenseless elderly people, Israel is demonstrating the worst of humanity. How long will European leaders make us accomplices of this barbarism,” Ione Belarra, Head of the Podemos party and Minister of Social Rights, posted on X.

Belarra has already Spain and the EU to break off ties with the Israeli regime.

On Wednesday, she praised Bolivia for cutting off its diplomatic relations with the occupying regime.

After Israel admitted to bombing a refugee camp on Tuesday, Spain’s Minister for Consumer Affairs, Alberto Garzon, also shared his condemnation.

“The impunity of Israel and its crimes is an international disgrace. A genocide that will weigh on the Western governments that support and justify it,” he posted on social media.

Meanwhile, Spain’s Equality Minister, Irene Montero, re-shared Colombian leader Gustavo Petro’s post calling Zionist actions genocidal and saying “its allies cannot speak of democracy.”

In response, the Federation of Jewish Communities in Spain accused the Spanish minister of “anti-Semitism.”

The Israeli regime embassy in Spain also slammed them as having “aligned themselves with ISIL-like terrorism” for prior comments.

The country’s Foreign Affairs Minister Jose Manuel Albares and Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez have called for an urgent humanitarian ceasefire and criticized the Zionist siege.

Albares said on Wednesday he was “appalled by the civilian victims of the bombing in Jabalya.”

Sanchez is also trying to organize a peace summit to give the warring sides a “concrete horizon” for lasting solutions.

“The international community already recognizes Zionists and now what we need to do is to recognize the Palestinian State,” he said.

Lone Belarra had earlier posted a video on her X account unequivocally condemning Zionist crimes.

“Today we are here accompanying all the decent people of our country and also all those people throughout Europe who want to ask and demand an end once and for all to this planned genocide, this ethnic cleansing of the people of Palestine that is being carried out by the State of Israel,” Belarra said.

The European leaders, including those of Spain, are “not up to the gravity of the circumstances,” she said, adding, “We do not want to be complicit in this planned genocide and we think that Europe must act urgently. I believe that Europe is going to pay dearly for this hypocrisy.”

The ongoing Zionist offensive has pushed the Gaza Strip to the brink of a humanitarian catastrophe, with hundreds of thousands of Palestinian civilians enduring immense suffering and loss.

The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Turk also warned on Saturday that there was the potential for thousands more civilians to die if Israel pressed ahead with a ground offensive in Gaza.

'Lives Of Patients Threatened': Gaza's Only Cancer Hospital Goes Out Of Service

The deaths in Gaza reached 8,796 Palestinians: Health ministry in the Hamas-controlled enclave (File)

Dubai:

The only cancer treatment hospital in the Gaza Strip has gone out of service after it ran out of fuel, health officials said today.

The director of the Turkish-Palestinian Friendship hospital told a press conference aired by Al-Jazeera TV that the hospital, which mainly treats cancer patients, had used up its fuel and was now out of service.

“We tell the world don’t leave cancer patients to a certain death due to the hospital being out of service,” the director, Subhi Skaik, added.

Palestinian Health Minister Mai al-Kaila confirmed the director’s remarks in a statement, adding that this brings the total number of hospitals not operating right now in the Strip to 16 out of 35.

“The lives of 70 cancer patients inside the hospital are seriously threatened,” she said in a statement.

“The number of cancer patients in the Gaza Strip is about 2,000 living in catastrophic health conditions as a result of the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Strip and the displacement of a large number,” al-Kaila added.

After fighters of the Palestinian group Hamas attacked southern Israel on Oct. 7, killing 1,400 people, Israel responded with a total blockade of Gaza, heavy bombardment and a ground operation.

Israel has vowed to wipe out Hamas. But the desperate humanitarian conditions have caused great concern across the world as food, fuel, drinking water and medicine run short and hospitals struggle to treat casualties.

The death number in Gaza reached 8,796 Palestinians, including 3,648 children today, according to the health ministry in the Hamas-controlled enclave.

CM KCR’s hat-trick a certainty; he has never lost elections since 1985, says KTR

Addressing a success meet of the Chief Minister’s Scheduled Tribes Entrepreneurship and Innovation Scheme (CMSTEI) here on Thursday, the Minister urged young entrepreneurs not to give up in pursuit of excellence.

CM KCR’s hat-trick a certainty; he has never lost elections since 1985, says KTR

Hyderabad: Exuding confidence that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao would score a hat-trick in the ensuing elections, Industries Minister and BRS working president KT Rama Rao appealed to young entrepreneurs to dream big and fight against all hurdles.

The Chief Minister had contested his first elections for the Primary Agriculture Cooperative Society Chairman post in 1980 and lost. Again in the 1983 Assembly elections, he contested representing the Telugu Desam Party but lost by a small margin of 750 votes. However, despite two setbacks, he did not give up. But after winning the first elections in 1985, Chandrashekhar Rao never lost an election, Rama Rao said, adding that with the people’s support, he was sure that the Chief Minister would score a hat trick and that the success would be celebrated after December 3.

Addressing a success meet of the Chief Minister’s Scheduled Tribes Entrepreneurship and Innovation Scheme (CMSTEI) here on Thursday, the Minister urged young entrepreneurs not to give up in pursuit of excellence. Without guts, there was no glory, he said.

The programme was organized by the CMSTEI beneficiaries as a mark of gratitude to the State government. In the four years since the launch of CMSTEI, over 500 ST entrepreneurs were groomed by the State government. Already, 118 units were grounded and many more were on the verge of being launched shortly. Harley’s India, a food processing company from Telangana, now has its units in different countries. The company, which was set up by a woman Lakshmi, had now expanded multifold, and was connected with the CMSTEI scheme in mentoring and other aspects.

The Minister appealed to former Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar to come up with a plan for extending handholding support to struggling entrepreneurs.

“The idea is to groom 5000 ST entrepreneurs and if each entrepreneur would generate employment to about 10 people, it would work out to 50,000 jobs” Rama Rao said, adding that the current batch of entrepreneurs should be brand ambassadors for the CMSTEI scheme.

Massive fines for pro-Palestinian protesters in Paris as permit revoked

The sudden revocation of the permit for a pro-Palestine protest march gave the French police legal justification to use a tool of political repression not seen since the yellow vests, massive fines.

Just 90 minutes before a highly anticipated pro-Palestine march across Paris was due to commence last weekend against Israel’s war atrocities in Gaza, local authorities suddenly revoked the permit for the protest.

The sudden last minute revocation gave the French police legal justification to use a tool of political repression not seen since the yellow vests, massive fines.

Of the close to 4,000 people present, 1,400 protesters were given fines of €135 each. This equates to nearly €200,000 extracted from the pockets of peaceful demonstrators, many of whom did not even know about the last minute banning of the protest.

Some of the fines may be dropped due to the controversial cancellation; however, the initial figures were widely relayed by the media.

The fines are an obvious instrument being used to dissuade people from supporting Palestine publicly.

However, many activists say they will never stop protesting Israel’s attempted genocide against Gaza.

I think the government is finally realizing this and that they just can’t give such a huge number of fines over and over.

Nicolas Shahshahani, Europalestine

The use of mass fines is the latest example of how France has, effectively, criminalized public support of Palestine and also silenced dissent against what is widely perceived as one sided support for Tel Aviv despite Israeli war crimes which have shocked the world.

We must recall that this is just one element of the French government’s absolute support for Israel. We saw Macron recently suggest that the West’s anti ISIL coalition actually be used against the people of Gaza.

He also sought a nationwide ban on all pro-Palestinian marches. He has constantly waved a false flag of anti-semitism and tried to ban the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions campaign…

Nicolas Shahshahani, Europalestine

Demonstrations against Israeli atrocities have effectively been banned nationwide since October 7th, with only two legal protests having been allowed so far in Paris.

Two protests are planned in Paris later this week, but many say it’s difficult to trust that the government will consistently honor their constitutional right to freedom of assembly and freedom of speech, when it comes to Palestine.

Gaza war shows blood-thirsty nature of US policies

Major General Hossein Salami made the remarks at a ceremony attended by religious scholars and the commanders of Tehran Basij bases in the capital’s Grand Mussala (Mosque) on Thursday.

The Zionists usurped Palestine with terror and crime for the past 75 years, trying to plunge the Muslim nations into deep ignorance, he said, noting that they are still looking to keep the youth of the Islamic world politically ignorant.

He continued that the Zionists started many wars, adding that the arrogant powers of the world launched wars in Muslim lands in the past 45 years to prevent the emergence of an Islamic governance.

General Salami clarified that Islamic rule requires power and the enemy only understands the logic of power, stating “We have learned today that Jihad is the only way because the enemy does not understand anything other than this.”

“Today, the world is united against the US  more than ever and the bloody nature of US policies is showing itself in the world,” General Salami stressed.

He added, “Gaza has created the potential for years of revenge in the hearts of Muslims.”

The siege and massacre of a nation is a crime, he noted, pointing out that the massacre of the people of Gaza will not delay the anticipated collapse of Israel.

“Today, the history of Islam is in one of its most sensitive stages which is one of the most beautiful manifestations of the victory of blood over the sword,” he concluded.

Over 20,000 injured Palestinians still trapped in Gaza: Report

Over 20,000 wounded Palestinian people are still trapped in the Gaza Strip with “limited access to healthcare,” according to Doctors without Borders (MSF), despite initial evacuations of foreign passport holders and badly injured Palestinians across the border to Egypt.

In a statement on Wednesday, MSF said there are still over 20,000 injured people in Gaza with limited access to healthcare due to the Israeli siege.

The organization further said its Palestinian staff were still offering care in the territory while its 22 international staff members in Gaza were among those who left the territory via the Rafah border crossing.

Another international team was waiting to enter the territory to replace those who left “as soon as the situation allows,” it added.

The organization went on to call for a greater number of people to be evacuated, as well as for a ceasefire and for more critical aid to be allowed in.

The head of the UN agency that works to help Palestinian refugees (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, managed to reach the territory on Wednesday via the Rafah crossing, telling journalists there he had “never ever seen” anything like it.

Meanwhile, according to health officials, the only cancer treatment hospital in the Gaza Strip has gone out of service after it ran out of fuel amid the ongoing Israeli bombardment of the besieged enclave.

Subhi Skaik, the director of the Turkish-Palestinian Friendship Hospital said during a press briefing on Wednesday that the hospital, which mainly treats cancer patients, had used up its fuel and was now out of service.

“We tell the world don’t leave cancer patients to a certain death due to the hospital being out of service,” said Skaik.

Since October 7, Israeli attacks have killed nearly 8,800 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, including more than 3,600 children.

The Israeli regime has also imposed a complete siege on the territory as well as cutting off fuel, electricity, food, and water to more than two million people living in the densely populated area.
