But let’s confess, often relying on bread is not a healthy option. You must be wondering, what’s a sandwich without bread slices, right? Well, now the internet has brought forth an easy-peasy recipe for a “no bread veggie sandwich”. Before we look at the clip shared by nutritionist Disha Sethi on Instagram, you must know that semolina is the hero ingredient of this dish. The clip begins with Disha mixing a bowl full of semolina/sooji, curd, and chopped vegetables in a container. For the vegetables, she used grated carrots, capsicum, onion, tomato, and chilies. Gautam Gambhir asks BJP President to release him from political duties to focus on Cricket


New Delhi: Cricketer Gautam Gambhir on Saturday urged the BJP President J.P. Nadda to relieve him of political duties so that he can focus on his cricketing commitments.

“I have requested Hon’ble Party President @JPNadda ji to relieve me of my political duties,” Gambhir wrote on X.


“I sincerely thank Hon’ble PM @narendramodi ji and Hon’ble HM @AmitShah ji for giving me the opportunity to serve the people. Jai Hind!,” the cricketer wrote on X.

On March 22, 2019, he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He was the party’s candidate from East Delhi in the 2019 general election.

Gambhir won the 2019 elections by 695,109 votes against Atishi Marlena and Arvinder Singh Lovely.

He received the Padma Shri from the Government of India in 2019, the fourth-highest civilian award in India.

Under Gambhir’s captaincy, Kolkata Knight Riders won their first IPL title in 2012 and went on to win the title again in 2014.

As for his new cricketing commitments, Gambhir will be seen as a mentor to the Kokatta Night Riders in the upcoming Indian Premium League season.

The Delhi Police has stepped up security after a low-intensity blast at a popular Bengaluru cafe left 10 people injured, an official said today.

Districts police chiefs have been directed to increase vigil in crowded areas, especially in Delhi’s markets, the official said.

A senior police officer said market associations have been asked to remain alert and approach their local police stations in case they find any suspicious activity.

The associations have also been directed to ensure that CCTV cameras installed on the premises are functional, he said.

Another officer said the Delhi Police has asked its bomb disposal squads and bomb detection teams to stay on alert.

Ten people, including staff members and customers, were injured after a low-intensity blast rocked Rameshwaram Cafe in Bengaluru’s Brookefield area on Saturday.

The Bengaluru Police said the blast was caused by an improvised explosive device fitted with a timer in a bag left near the eatery’s handwash area by a “customer”.

The local police have registered a case under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and the Explosive Substances Act.

New Delhi: A seven-year-old girl sustained injuries after she was allegedly bitten and dragged by a pitbull dog in Delhi’s Jagatpuri area, police said on Saturday.

Sharing the details, police said that a police control room (PCR) call was received on Friday, at 8:47 p.m., at Jagatpuri police station in which a woman caller said that her seven-year-old daughter had been bitten and dragged by a pitbull dog belonging to her neighbour.


Upon receiving the PCR call, police reached the spot and conducted inquiries. “The victim, accompanied by her mother, was found at their residence on Gali No.2, Jagatpuri, with visible dog bite injuries,” said a senior police official.

“The mother recounted that the incident occurred around 6 p.m., following which she promptly sought medical attention for her daughter from a local doctor,” said the official.

Subsequently, the victim and her mother were taken to Hedgewar Hospital for preparing the Medico-Legal Case (MLC).

“The owner of the dog has been identified as Shivanand Bhaskar, and a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) is being registered against him based on the complainant’s statement,” the official added.

Brazil: Houses submerged as heavy rainfall triggered Acre river to overflow

Hundreds of houses remain under water, and roads are still submerged after heavy rainfall in the northwestern region of Brazil’s Acre state triggered severe flooding of the area.

Footage filmed on Thursday shows heavily flooded Brasileia municipality among the Emergency Response Coordination Centre (ERCC) reports of evacuation of at least 12,000 locals with the looming threat of river overflow.

Local authorities reported on Thursday, that the Acre river level reached 15.56 meters, surpassing the historically high water level of 2015.

According to media reports, 17 municipalities, including Brasileia and Rio Branco, have already been affected by the natural disaster with search and rescue operations being conducted through the submerged areas.

Acre Governor Gladson Cameli addressed the central government with an appeal to provide urgent assistance.

Speaking about the damage to the area, civil defense coordinator Sebastiao explained that many neighborhoods are still isolated as the roads remain submerged.

“Our only bridge that connects the pacific road with the 317 highway is blocked and will be like this for a long time. There is still a lot of water and one of our main neighbourhoods is isolated,” said Sebastiao.

Last year, severe rainfall in Acre resulted in casualties and property damage.

Jagtial: As many as 10 persons of a family were injured in a group clash that took place in Ganeshpalli of Sarangapur mandal on Saturday morning.

As a result, about ten persons of a family received injuries in the clash. The injured persons were shifted to the Jagtial government hospital where they are undergoing treatment.

Spanish woman gang-raped in Jharkhand’s Dumka, 3 held


Dumka:  A Spanish woman was allegedly gang-raped in Hansdiha police station area of Dumka in Jharkhand, late on Friday night.

A top officer of the state police headquarters confirmed the incident, and said that they will not be able to divulge the details at this time.


Sources say that the woman has come on India tour with her husband. On Friday night, the couple left for Bhagalpur via Dumka on bike. At around 12 a.m., they had stopped at a place called Kunji-Kurumahat before Hansdiha market. Meanwhile, eight to ten people arrived and gang-raped the woman. There is information that the husband and wife were also beaten up.

The woman was admitted to a hospital late in the night, where Dumka SP Pitambar Singh Kherwar also reached. Three people are reported to have been detained for questioning.

As per the information, the couple had reached Dumka in Jharkhand from Spain via Pakistan and Bangladesh.

A hilarious video went viral on social media, showing a showing a goof-up by a fielder which gifted a boundary to the batting team. The video is from an unknown cricket match, where a batter played a shot towards the long-on, in search of a boundary. A fielder ran towards the ball, in order to stop it from going across the boundary line. In the process, he stepped on the ball and stopped it just outside the boundary rope.

As the ball was stable at it’s position, another fielder came at the spot to pick it up but ended up throwing it across the line, giving a free boundary to the batting team.

The video went viral on social media like a wild fire and left the fans utterly amused.
