Burger Singh Website Hacked By Pakistani Group, Company Responds With A Touch Of Humour

Burger Singh Website Hacked By Pakistani Group, Company Responds With A Touch Of Humour

The company assured that this was a temporary setback

Popular Indian fast-food chain Burger Singh recently faced a cyberattack on February 27 by a Pakistani hacking group named Team Insane PK. The company revealed on X that the hackers not only infiltrated but also revamped the burger franchise’s website, leaving behind a digital graffiti wall that echoed mischievous exploits.

“The backstory to this cyber saga? Well, it turns out, that a cheeky promo code we once thought was a good idea (“Fpak20,” ring any bells?)  landed better than we expected. In retrospect, offering discounts with geopolitical flair is a gift that keeps giving,” Burger Singh wrote in the post.

Instead of quickly changing the digital graffiti, the company kept it for a day, treating it as an “open mic night for hackers”.

Burger Singh believes this approach emphasizes the varied sources of inspiration that can result in distinctive ideas. The restaurant is confident in overcoming this momentary obstacle, ensuring customers that the digital disruption is only a temporary challenge.

“As for our feelings towards the hackers, let’s just say we’re not losing sleep over it. We’re too busy dreaming up the next big thing that’ll make Burger Singh more legendary than the GDP of some countries (no names mentioned, of course). Our focus? Moving forward, burgers in hand, always,” it added.

The company assured that this was a temporary setback and expressed confidence in handling the situation.

Burger Singh said that their digital hiccup is just a hiccup. “Keep calm and carry on. Our digital hiccup is just that – a hiccup. Our journey is filled with more ups than downs, more burgers than breaches, and certainly, more laughs than worries.”

A user commented on the post: “What a great response! Kudos”

Another user wrote, “One of the wittiest in days!! Kudos to the content strategist! Lovely guys… It’s fine, yeh bhi ho h gya, famous to the h, thodi validation bhi aa gyi.”

The third user wrote, “This reply had me in splits and made me think… Your burgers are more legendary than the GDP of the said country, so why not let them take a potshot at you… Maybe they will also get some insane team ideas about raising the GDP… As for the hunger, please really air-drop some burgers with extra sauce and mayo.. They need it.”

“I am excited now how Indian Hackers are gonna hit every website .pak,” the fourth user wrote.

“That is some reply excellent reply. Air drop some burgers,” the fifth user commented.

Comedian And 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' Actor Richard Lewis Dies At 76

Comedian And 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' Actor Richard Lewis Dies At 76

He died on Tuesday at his Los Angeles residence, aged 76.

Richard Lewis, the stand-up comedian renowned for his acerbic and dark sense of humour, rose to fame in the 1970s and ’80s. Transitioning seamlessly, he ventured into acting, gracing films like “Robin Hood: Men in Tights” and making memorable appearances as himself on HBO’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” He died on Tuesday at his Los Angeles residence, aged 76.

His publicist, Jeff Abraham, said the cause of his death was a heart attack. The comedian announced last year that he had Parkinson’s disease, The Guardian reported.

“His wife, Joyce Lapinsky, thanks everyone for all the love, friendship and support and asks for privacy at this time,” Abraham said in a written statement.

“Richard and I were born three days apart in the same hospital and for most of my life he’s been like a brother to me,” David said in a statement shared by HBO. “He had that rare combination of being the funniest person and also the sweetest. But today he made me sob and for that, I’ll never forgive him.”

Actor Jamie Lee Curtis, who played the romantic co-lead opposite Mr Lewis in Anything But Love, paid tribute to him on Instagram, writing: “He also is the reason I am sober. He helped me. I am forever grateful to him for that act of grace alone. He found love with Joyce and that, of course, besides his sobriety, is what mattered most to him. I’m weeping as I write this. Strange way of saying thank you to a sweet and funny man. Rest in laughter, Richard.”

Brooklyn-born Lewis began performing stand-up comedy in the early 1970s while working a day job in advertising and by the end of the decade had risen to the forefront of his generation of comedians.

He was a regular on late-night talk shows through the 1980s and starred alongside Jamie Lee Curtis on the ABC TV comedy “Anything But Love.” He made several film appearances in the 1990s, most notably in “Robin Hood: Men in Tights.”

In later years he was best known for playing a version of himself as Larry David’s friend on “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” in which the two men bickered relentlessly.

Is Virat Kohli Cricket's Manuel Neuer? Bayern Munich's Reply Is Viral

India icon Virat Kohli is one of the finest batters of his generation. Since making his India debut in 2008, Kohli has been a standout performer for the team across formats. The 35-year-old enjoys a huge fan following across the globe, not only for his cricketing skills, but also for his fitness and longevity. Kohli has found himself a huge admirer in Germany’s most successful football club, Bayern Munich, who labelled the former India captain as a sporting equivalent of their legendary goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.

Neuer, who emerged through the ranks at Schalke, joined Bayern Munich in 2011. Since his move from the Gelsenkirch-based club, the 37-year-old has been a standout performer for Bayern in their unprecedented success.

On social media platform X, a fan asked the German club to “name 2 athletes from different sports who are cross-sports equivalents to each other”.

Responding to the query, Bayern likened Kohli to Neuer. Their reply has gone viral on social media.

Since his move to Bayern in the summer of 2011, Neuer has won 28 trophies, including eleven Bundesliga titles and two UEFA Champions League titles in 2013 and 2020.

He has also been a vital cog in Germany’s success in the past, lifting the 2014 World Cup title, playing a crucial role in the final against Argentina in Brazil..

He drew crucial saves off Gonzalo Higuain and Lionel Messi before Mario Gotze scored a late winner in extra-time at the Maracana.

In the ongoing Bundesliga season, however, Bayern trrail rivals Bayer Leverkusen by eight points after 23 matches. Both teams had squared off earlier this month with Xabi Alonso’s Leverkusen winning 3-0 at the Bay Arena.

Meanwhile, his wife Anushka Sharna, a popular Bollywood actor, recently announced they were blessed with a baby boy – Akaay – on February 15.

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have an elder daughter – Vamika. Virat Kohli has been missing from action on the cricket field for almost a month now, and their were speculations over it.

The former Indian cricket team captain ended the speculation with a post on social media.

“With abundant happiness and our hearts full of love, we are pleased to inform everyone that on 15th February, we welcomed our baby boy Akaay & Vamika’s little brother into this world!,” Kohli informed in an instagram post.

Kohli is currently in London and is expected to return to action during the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League.

40% Pillion Rider Accident Victims Didn't Use Helmets: AIIMS Study

40% Pillion Rider Accident Victims Didn't Use Helmets: AIIMS Study

Most of the road accident victims were in the age group of 20 to 40 years.

New Delhi:

Forty per cent of pillion riders on two-wheelers in Delhi did not use helmets leading to head injuries, according to data collected in 2022 at the AIIMS Trauma Centre here.

However, the data showed that nearly 85 per cent of the riders of two-wheelers used helmets while the rest did not wear protective gear leading to head injuries, which resulted in mortality or morbidity, said AIIMS Trauma Centre chief Dr Kamran Farooque.

He referred to data collected at the centre between January 21 to December 22.

He further informed that according to the data, almost 82 per cent of the patients who were brought dead to the hospital in 2022 had met with road accidents.

Dr Farooque further stated that the hospital received 53,541 trauma patients in 2022, out of which around 25 per cent were road accident victims.

Most of the road accident victims were in the age group of 20 to 40 years, Dr Farooque said. Since this age group is the most active and productive, their becoming victims of accidents has a major impact not only on their families but also on the country’s economy.

“So, there should be an organised system in place so that road accident victims get immediate help and treatment,” he said.
