Aimlessly in Gaza

According to Aljazeera, the Israeli army believes that achievements on the ground will erode over time without political action.

One of Netanyahu’s goals in prolonging the war is to restore his damaged reputation who called himself “Mr. Security”.

The insistence by Netanyahu and his extremist cabinet on committing more crimes in the coastal enclave of Gaza has even infuriated some within the army. It is the army whose personnel are committing war crimes against the Palestinians and also being killed by resistance forces, who have freely chosen the path of sacrificing their life. They prefer death over living under suffocating occupation.

Israeli army personnel and those on the top are noticing that they are getting caught deeper into the Gaza quagmire as the war is dragging on.

Even when Netanyahu ordered the ground offensive in Gaza on October 27 he was snubbed by the military officers and refused to meet him in military fatigue.

Netanyahu and the mad persons in his cabinet are also thinking of a greater Israel. Prime Minister Netanyahu, who is also called “crime minister” in Israel, has even asked the Palestinians in Gaza to leave Gaza.

Some analysts say extremists in Israel want all of Palestine with no Palestinians in it. They say if it is not so, what is the justification for such unspeakable crimes in Gaza?

“…..their current leaders are blatantly saying that Palestinians in Gaza should be shoved into Egypt and live in tent cities. That is their intent. If they can’t eliminate them with bombs, they will starve them to death or make life so difficult, Palestinians will begin dying of diseases,” American analyst Greta Berlin tells the Tehran Times.

She says, “Israel wants all of Gaza for three reasons: 1. Israelis are slobbering over the idea of 35 miles of pristine beachfront property after all the debris has been swept away. 2. Israel wants to steal Gaza’s gas. The Gaza marine field, discovered by BG in 2000 has 122 trillion cubic feet of natural gas and 1.7 billion barrels of oil worth around $524 billion! 3. Israel has been planning the Ben Gurion Canal Project, originally proposed in the 1960s as an alternative to the Suez Canal.”

Also, in an interview with the American media on Thursday, Republican Party candidate Nikki Haley said that the people of Gaza should leave the enclave.

“The Palestinians should have gone to the Rafah crossing and Egypt would have taken care of them. But I have always said that what the Palestinians need is to move to pro-Hamas countries such as Qatar, Iran and Turkey,” Haley shamelessly said.

Some analysts also say the current bloodthirsty Israeli political leaders want to kill the chances of Joe Biden in the presidential election. Being fully aware that Democrats and Republicans compete with each other in presenting themselves as the strongest supporters of Israel, Netanyahu is seeking to kill the chances of Joe Biden in the presidential election through indiscriminate attacks in Gaza as Biden was critical of Bibi.

Paul Pillar, a former top CIA analyst, says if Biden loses the election, one of the reasons will be his “embrace” of Netanyahu, that his regime’s genocidal campaigns in Gaza have embarrassed the entire world.

Some top officers may have realized that they are being manipulated by Netanyahu and his bigoted ministers, especially as the prime minister is facing corruption charges and the intelligence failure of his government to predict the Oct. 7 attack by Hamas.

“… there are the corruption charges against Netanyahu, the trial for which recently resumed after an interruption of several weeks because of the Hamas attack and the war. That personal legal problem provides additional motivation for Netanyahu to continue hardline policies that entail a war that distracts from everything else. Those policies also help to satisfy the most extreme elements in his right-wing coalition, thereby keeping that coalition together and further delaying the day when he might have to face the full legal consequences of his conduct,” Pillar notes.

Why Team India Doesn't Play First Class Practice Matches? Rohit Explains

Rohit Sharma in press conference© BCCI

Was lack of practice matches the reason behind Team India’s loss in the first Test against South Africa? India captain Rohit Sharma doesn’t think playing First Class practice Tests would have given the team any benefit because of the ‘contrasting difference’ in the two situations. After India lost the opening Test to South Africa by an innings and 32 runs, Rohit was asked in the press conference about the team’s decision to snub practice matches over intra-squad contests.

Rohit highlighted the nature of wickets and the opponent team’s players in the practice matches as the reason behind the team’s decision to play intra-squad matches instead. The India skipper claimed that the wickets the team gets in practice matches don’t produce the sort of bounce and pace the actual match pitches do.

“We have been playing practice matches in the last 4-5 years. We also tried to play first-class matches. The wicket that you get in the matches, you won’t get that in the practice matches. It is better that we prepare according to our requirements, we prepare the pitch according to our requirements. We can have control of the ground,” said Rohit in a media conference.

“When we went to Australia the last time, when we played in South Africa in 2018, the ball didn’t bounce beyond the knee-roll on practice pitches. But here, the ball flies over your head. So, all these things were considered and we decided to prepare according to our own style,” Rohit added.

Rohit said he is open to playing practice Tests on tours, provided the wickets offered a similar to the ones that are used in actual matches.

“If you get the conditions in a practice match that would be similar to the ones in the Tests, then it’s fine. Bowlers also, we get pacers who bowl 120-125 kph. We have experienced that in the last two or three practice matches. It’s better we face our own bowlers and prepare pitch according to our will,” he asserted.

Fresh Inspection Of Boeing 737 Max Planes After Loose Hardware Found In US

3 Indian Airlines' Safety Check On Boeing 737 Max After Loose Bolt Alert

New Delhi:

An alert over a loose bolt in new-built Boeing 737 Max passenger aircraft has prompted airlines in India which operate the type to carry out checks to ensure there are no defects that can affect flight safety.

India’s aviation regulator, Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), is closely monitoring the situation and has been in touch with Akasa, Air India Express and SpiceJet, which operate the aircraft.

This comes after the US’ Federation Aviation Administration said it is closely monitoring targeted inspections of Boeing 737 MAX airplanes to look for a possible loose bolt in the rudder control system. The plane manufacturer has said the issue identified on a particular aircraft has been fixed and asked airlines to conduct an inspection of their Boeing 737 Max fleet.

The DGCA has said it is in touch with its US counterpart and Boeing and that the checks currently being carried out are part of the regular process to ensure flight safety.

“This has been an ongoing issue with Max 737 and these are service bulletins issued from time to time by Boeing to the airline operators for the suggested action whenever any issue is come across. We have been in touch with Boeing, FAA and our airline operators in the past too on such issues concerning 737 Max,” the DGCA said in a statement.

“In such cases, mitigation as recommended by the Original Equipment Manufacturers is carried out by the airline operator as has been done in the past in respect of 737 Max,” it added.

An Akasa Air spokesperson has said Boeing had informed them about the issue. “Like all operators around the world, and in accordance with our highest standards of safety, Akasa will be following the same checks and procedures that the manufacturer or regulator recommends. Our operating fleet and deliveries are not impacted so far,” it said.

A SpiceJet spokesperson said the fresh alert will have no impact on its operations. A response from Air India Express is expected soon.

The airlines NDTV has been in touch with say the inspection does not take more than 2 hours per aircraft.

Boeing 737 Max, the manufacturer’s fastest-selling plane in history, was grounded worldwide in 2019 after crashes in Indonesia and Jakarta left 356 people dead. The aircraft was back in service early in 2021.

Martyr Soleimani defeated Israel's geographic development

Martyr Soleimani plays important role in failure of Israel’s geographical development project

One of the most important strategies of the Zionist regime in the field of foreign policy is the development of the occupied geography. After the victory of the Islamic Revolution, the Zionist regime was only able to occupy more of Palestine by building settlements and failed to occupy more lands in other Islamic countries.

Although this failure had various reasons, the command of Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani in the Axis of Resistance and fighting against the occupation regime was one of the main reasons, which is briefly examined in this article.

Martyr Soleimani strengthens inhibitory power of Resistance

The most important priority of Martyr Soleimani at the beginning of his assignment as the commander of IRGC’s Quds Force was to strengthen the infrastructure of the Resistance Axis which led to important victories against the Zionist regime.

The Zionist regime has withdrawn several times from the occupied territory. The Sinai desert, southern Lebanon, and Gaza are the three points from which the Zionist regime retreated. The withdrawal from the Sinai desert was done through an agreement with Egypt, but the withdrawal from southern Lebanon and the Gaza Strip occurred as a result of the military defeats of the Zionist regime.

In 2000, after the commanders of the Zionist regime sent field reports to the leaders of this regime, announcing that the war in southern Lebanon had become erosive and there was no chance for victory in this region against Hezbollah fighters, the order to withdraw from south Lebanon was exported.

The Zionist army occupied southern Lebanon in 1978 and entered Beirut in 1982, but later withdrew from this area and remained in southern Lebanon until 2000. The operation to liberate South Lebanon started on May 21st of the same year from the Ghandouriyeh region towards Qantara, including other areas in the south. This process continued until May 25th, and with the departure of the last Zionist soldier, Salim al-Huss, the prime minister of Lebanon at the time announced the liberation of South Lebanon on this day.

Two days after the withdrawal of the Zionists from southern Lebanon, one of the high-ranking officers of the Zionist regime said in a conversation with the Maariv newspaper that 1,580 of our forces were killed and 6,485 were wounded in Lebanon in a very difficult and tragic experience of 22 years. This amount is much more than the casualties of the June 1967 war, during which the lands of three Arab countries were captured by us. Now, if we judge correctly, we see that we did not leave Lebanon, but fled unilaterally without having a trump card in hand”.

This great victory happened only two years after the assignment of General Soleimani as the commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

Nabil Qawouq, a member of the executive council of the Lebanese Hezbollah movement, stated that Martyr Soleimani took command of the Quds Force before the liberation of southern Lebanon in 2000, and he was an essential partner in this historic achievement, adding that after the liberation of southern Lebanon, the Resistance turned the region from the period of defeats to the period of victories which created a fundamental change in equations and awakenings.

Gaza is another important point that the Zionist regime had to leave in 2005 after 38 years of occupation. The second intifada was from 2000 until 2005. The continuation and escalation of the Palestinian intifada in different areas of Palestine, the withdrawal of the Zionist regime from the Gaza Strip, and the liberation of Gaza are among the most important developments of the era of Martyr Soleimani’s command.

General Soleimani inflicts repeated defeats on Zionist regime in numerous wars

Another important action taken by Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani, the commander of the IRGC’s Quds Force was to play a direct role in the war between the Zionist regime and the Resistance groups.

The liberation of southern Lebanon, the second Palestinian intifada, the 33-day war in 2006, the 22-day war in 2008, the 8-day war in 2012, the 51-day war in 2014, and the war with Takfiri terrorists and their supporters in Syria and Iraq from 2011 until his martyrdom in The year 2020 was one of the most important battles in which Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani played a role in the field and operationally.

In the first 6 wars, the Zionist regime was a direct side of the war and was also the initiator in all these wars. Although the Zionist regime caused a lot of human casualties and material damage to the Palestinians and Lebanon (in 2006) in these wars, this regime could not achieve its military goals in any of these wars. for instance, the 2006 war started with the aim of destroying Lebanon’s Hezbollah, but not only did Hezbollah not disappear, but after this war it became one of the most important and influential players in the political-security system of the West Asian region.

Nasser Qandil, a leading Lebanese analyst, described Haj Qassem’s role in the 33-day war. Haj Qassem insisted on being in the central operation room in the city of “Beirut” next to the martyred commander “Haj Imad Mughniyeh” his friend and constant companion and also next to Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, the Secretary General of Lebanon’s Hezbollah. During the 33-day war, Haj Qasim was constantly moving between the battlefields and the central operations room. During this time, he did his best to provide everything that the Resistance men in Lebanon needed.

Undoubtedly, the victory of the Zionist regime in the 33-day war could lead to the occupation of this regime in the geography of the Islamic world, but the great defeat of the Zionist regime played an important role in stopping its occupation in the geography of Islamic countries.

The war in Syria since 2011 and the war in Iraq since 2014 were not imposed by the Zionists, but the defeat of the governments of Syria and Iraq meant the victory of the Zionist regime in these wars which could lead to the formation of anti-Resistance governments in these two countries.

US open support of terrorist groups and the division of terrorists into good and bad can be analyzed in this regard. Martyr Soleimani played a role in the battle against Takfiri terrorists. From 2011 onwards, the enemies of the Resistance had taken the approach of spreading terrorism in countries close to the Resistance, including Syria and Iraq, to hit this Axis. While the enemies expected the Syrian regime to change or ISIL to form an Islamic caliphate in Iraq, the Syrian regime remained and ISIL disappeared in Iraq.

Nasser Qandil reminds us that without a doubt if it was not for Haj Qassem Soleimani and his strategic role in the battlefields, the realization of the final victory over the Takfiri terrorism of ISIL in Syria, Iraq, and the region would not have been possible.

Conclusion

Occupation is the most important characteristic of the Zionist regime, as it occupied the land of Islamic countries, established a government, and also had a desire to occupy more geography in the Islamic world, which, except Palestine, was not successful in other Islamic countries.

The role of Martyr Soleimani in deterring the geographical expansion of the Zionist regime was prominent because he succeeded in invalidating the myth of the invincibility of the regime’s army and seriously hindering the geographical expansion of the Zionist regime by creating military infrastructure and improving the deterrence power of the Resistance Axis in the West Asian region.

One of the main reasons for the assassination of Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani was the same issue.

Samson Swaps Cricket Bat With Football Boots. Video Takes Internet By Storm

Fresh from scoring his maiden ODI century, India wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson was seen playing football during a local tournament in Kerala. Earlier this month, Samson scored his first hundred for India in the third and final ODI against South Africa at the Boland Park in Paarl, helping India win the series by a 2-1 margin. Current not part of the Indian team for the ongoing Test series against the Proteas, Samson is enjoying his time away from the sport by playing football at a local tournament in Kerala.

In a viral video, Samson was seen showcasing his on-the-ball dribbling skills for Trivandrum in a local sevens tournament.

Samson, in the past, has often spoken about his love from football. The India wicketkeeper-batter had revealed that his father was a footballer, and played for the Delhi Police Football Team.

In the third ODI against South Africa, Samson made 108 off 114 balls, smashing six fours and three sixes, as India posted a total of 296/8 after being invited to bat.

The knock came as a huge relief for Samson, who has not able to cement his place in the team, despite boasting an average of over 50 in the format.

The player was overlooked for the ODI World Cup in India with selectors preferring to go with the likes of Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav despite the Kerala batter averaging 55.7 at a strike rate of 104 in 13 ODI innings.

Samson revealed that the past three-four months have been mentally challenging for him but he kept at it by working on himself and bounced back by scoring his maiden ODI ton.

“The last three, four months were challenging for me mentally,” Sanju said after the 78-run win on Thursday.

“So going through all that and coming here I think doing what I did today, I think I feel really happy and grateful.” Samson was also not picked for the Asian Games, indicating that he is really low in the selectors’ pecking order.

BJP MP's Brother Arrested In Karnataka After 126 Trees Worth Crores Felled

BJP MP Pratap Simha is drawing Opposition fire over the Parliament security breach

Bengaluru:

The brother of BJP MP Pratap Simha, who hit headlines for the massive breach in Parliament security earlier this month, has been arrested in connection with the felling of trees worth crores. Vikram Simha, who was arrested by the Organised Crime squad of Central Crime Branch, is currently in the custody of forest department.

As many as 126 trees worth crores were felled in Karnataka’s Hassan district and transported elsewhere. An official report said “available documentary evidence” hinted at his involvement in the crime. Forest officials had been looking for Vikram Simha, but he escaped. The officials used electronic surveillance to track down Vikram to Bengaluru.

The forest officials reached out to the Organised Crime team and Vikram Simha was arrested in a joint operation. He will now be taken to Hassan for further action in the case.

His brother’s arrest comes at a tough time for the BJP MP, who is already drawing fire from the Opposition after his name came up in the Parliament breach case. One of the intruders who trespassed into Lok Sabha on December 13 was carrying a visitor’s pass issued by Pratap Simha’s office. The BJP had later told Speaker Om Birla that the intruder’s father was a resident of his constituency and had asked for a pass to visit Parliament.

The Opposition has questioned why no action has been taken against Mr Simha yet, even though 146 MPs were suspended for unruly conduct after they demanded a statement from Union Home Minister Amit Shah on the massive security breach.

Mr Simha recently said the people will decide if he was a patriot or a traitor in the Lok Sabha elections due next year. “Whether Pratap Simha is a traitor or a patriot — mother Goddess Chamundeshwari sitting on the hills of Mysuru, mother Goddess Cauvery who is sitting on Brahmagiri, my reader fans across Karnataka who have been reading my writings for the last twenty years, and people of Mysuru and Kodgu who have seen my work for 9.5 years and my conduct on issues related country, dharma and nationalism — will give their verdict through votes in Lok Sabha polls to be held in April 2024,” said the journalist-turned-politician.

The Congress has questioned why the BJP MP has not been questioned so far. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi has, however, said, Mr Simha’s statement had been recorded as part of the probe.
