Hezbollah targets Israeli military sites in solidarity with Palestinians

Hezbollah targets Israeli military sites in solidarity with Palestinians

Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance movement has conducted multiple operations against Israeli military outposts in the northern part of the 1948 occupied territories, expressing its unwavering support for Palestinians in Gaza amid a genocidal war.

The group struck a gathering of Israeli soldiers at al-Tayhat Hill, facing the southern Lebanese village of Meiss Ej Jabal, in the predawn hours of Monday with a barrage of missiles and artillery shells, according to a Hezbollah statement run by Lebanon’s Arabic-language al-Mayadeen television news channel.

The projectiles hit the designated targets precisely and caused material damage in the area. There were no immediate reports about possible casualties.

The statement added that the operation came in support of Palestinians in Gaza and in response to Israeli attacks on southern Lebanese villages and residential buildings.

Hezbollah also announced on Sunday evening that its fighters had targeted a building housing Israeli soldiers in the illegal settlement of Metula.

The Lebanese resistance movement added it had hit a gathering of Israeli soldiers near Branit barracks with rocket-propelled grenades.

Moreover, Hezbollah targeted the Ruwaisat al-Alam site in the occupied Kfarchouba Hills with artillery shells.

In retaliation for the Israeli military’s attacks on southern Lebanese villages, the resistance fighters also targeted a building housing Israeli soldiers in the settlement of al-Manara.

Hezbollah fighters also attacked Israeli forces stationed inside the al-Marj outpost, opposite the Lebanese town of Markaba, causing casualties among the troops.

Additionally, the resistance group targeted and destroyed espionage devices at the al-Raheb site with appropriate weapons.

The Israeli regime has been attacking southern Lebanon off and on since October 7, when it launched the devastating campaign of death and destruction in Gaza, killing more than 32,200 Palestinians.

In retaliation, Hezbollah has launched near-daily rocket attacks on Israeli positions.

At least 322 people have been killed on the Lebanese border, including 56 civilians.

Israel says at least ten of its troopers and seven settlers have been killed in the area.

The fighting has forced the evacuation of tens of thousands from the northern part of the occupied territories, which have been pummeled by rocket fire and shelling carried out by Hezbollah and allied Palestinian groups.

Hezbollah has already fought off two Israeli wars against Lebanon in 2000 and 2006. The resistance forced the regime to retreat in both conflicts.
