Iran’s top judge urges Muslim states to cut ties with Israel, sue regime

Iran’s top judge urges Muslim states to cut ties with Israel, sue regime

Iran’s Judiciary Chief Gholamhossein Mohseni-Ejei has called on Muslim countries to sever their relations with Israel and sue the occupying regime at international courts over its crimes against Palestinians.

He made the remarks in an address to an international conference on the occupation of Palestine, in Tehran on Thursday.

“The least that the Islamic countries can do regarding today’s events in Palestine is to completely cut off their ties and trade with the Zionists, file lawsuits and complaints against the regime with international tribunals and organizations, and elaborate on and recount the Zionists’ heinous crimes,” he said.

Mohseni-Ejei also noted that all jurists in Muslim states have a duty to follow up the legal cases brought against Israel.

“If we remain indifferent to the atrocities that are being committed by the Zionists in the Gaza Strip, we would we not be able to answer before God and history,” he added.

The top judge further pointed to the severity of Israel’s atrocities and said the Israeli crimes against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip can be defined by no concepts in the international law.

The Zionists, he emphasized, are perpetrating the worst crimes against the people of Gaza under the all-out support provided by the US.

“Undoubtedly, the usurping and criminal Zionist regime is on the path to decline,” Mohseni-Ejei said.

He also underlined the need to hold the United States accountable for supplying Israel with all kinds of support, from weapons to money.

Additionally, he expressed his gratitude to all the individuals, institutions and countries that have condemned the brutal crimes of Israel and its allies and voiced their support for the oppressed people of Gaza.

Israel waged its US-backed genocidal war on the besieged Gaza on October 7 after the Palestinian Hamas resistance group carried out an unprecedented operation against the usurping entity in retaliation for its intensified atrocities against the Palestinian people.

The Tel Aviv regime has killed at least 30,717 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injured 72,156 others since the war began.
