The Iranian foreign minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian met and held talks with Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry during his visit to the UN General Assembly in New York.
In this meeting, there was a positive and fruitful discussion in detail about issues of mutual interest between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Arab Republic of Egypt.
Referring to the civilizational and historical records and cultural commonalities of the two countries, the two sides emphasized that it is necessary to pave the path and steps to achieve it through the continuation of the dialogue between the officials of the two countries.
Strengthening of relations and cooperation between the two countries will not only support the interests of the two countries but will also have positive regional effects, they also stressed.
