Akaay Kohli accounts create mayhem on social media© Twitter
As Star India batter Virat Kohli announced that he and his actress wife Anushka Sharma were blessed with a baby boy on February 15, fake social media accounts of their newborn son Akaay started to surface on social media. The moment Virat and Anushka announced that they had named their son Akaay, fans on social media booked all accounts on Instagram and other social media platforms with the combination of ‘Akaay Kohli’. In fact, a few Instagram some even started to post stories on behalf of Akaay.

Kohli and Anushka are already proud parents of a three-year-old daughter Vamika. With their first newborn, the likes of Virat and Anushka decided against sharing her pictures on social media, and haven’t even made her make a public appearance yet.
With Akaay, the strategy for Virat and Anushka is likely to be the same, with the parents determined to protect their children’s identity on social media platforms.
“With abundant happiness and our hearts full of love, we are pleased to inform everyone that on 15th February, we welcomed our baby boy Akaay & Vamika’s little brother into this world!,” Kohli wrote in an Instagram post on Tuesday.
“We seek your blessings and good wishes in this beautiful time in our lives. We request you to kindly respect our privacy at this time.” Kohli had opted out of the ongoing Test series against England, citing personal reasons.
Virat is away from cricketing responsibilities, having taken leave from all 5 matches against England. India are leading the five-match series 2-1 after the first three matches.
