Several world leaders, senior officials and foreign ministries have congratulated the Iranian government and nation over the 45th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.
In two separate messages on Sunday, Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman offered felicitations to Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi.
In their messages, the Saudi king and crown prince wished progress and more prosperity for the Iranian government and nation.
Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev said cordial and historic relations between the two countries would further develop.
“The historically unifying friendly relations and shared spiritual values between our peoples provide a good basis for the development of Azerbaijani-Iranian intergovernmental relations and cooperation.”
Azerbaijan’s head of state said bilateral interaction in trade, economics, transportation, and other areas is gratifying today.
In separate messages, Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Deputy Emir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani congratulated President Raeisi over the Revolution anniversary.
In a message of congratulations to his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Tajikistan’s Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin praised the grand achievements of Iran and its endeavors to promote the Iranian status on the international scene.
Tajikistan and Iran are determined to expand relations given the civilizational and cultural commonalities that go down in history, the Tajik minister said.
From Moscow in a video message, Russia’s Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova offered her felicitations to the Iranians and said Russia and Iran are on the path toward creating a “new world order.” She said Russia and Iran are developing contacts at the highest levels in the spirit of good neighborliness, mutual respect and equality.
In a post on its X account, Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry released a photo of the Azadi Square in Tehran with the flags of Iran and Pakistan on top of the picture. The ministry expressed its most sincere congratulations to the Iranian people and government.
In Ankara, Turkey’s Foreign Ministry posted a congratulatory message on its X account.
In a message of felicitations on X, Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar expressed confidence that long-term cooperation and friendship between New Delhi and Tehran would continue to develop. He attached a video showing meetings among the Iranian and Indian senior officials.
President Aleksandr Lukashenko of Belarus also extended greetings to President Raeisi. “Over the past period, the Iranian people have asserted the right to move along the independently chosen path of development.”
Based on the principles of respect and mutual understanding, Belarus and Iran are systematically expanding mutually beneficial cooperation, the president stated.
The 22nd of the solar calendar month of Bahman, which corresponds with February 11, is observed each year with tremendous patriotic fervor across Iran.
On this day, 45 years ago, the US-backed Pahlavi regime was overthrown in a popular uprising that also ended the meddling of foreign hegemonic powers in Iran’s internal affairs.
