Parliament Budget Session 2024 LIVE Updates:
Lok Sabha is currently having a discussion on the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. BJP MP Satya Pal Singh initiated the discussion and said that Lord Ram belongs to everyone and not Hindus alone.
He also said the construction of the temple was “historic”.
“I am fortunate to get the opportunity to speak about the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya and the Pran Pratishtha of Lord Ram on January 22 inside the Parliament,” Mr Singh said in Lok Sabha.
In Rajya Sabha, the lawmakers discussed the “White Paper on the Indian Economy” and its impact on the lives of the people of the country.
The Budget session of Parliament, the last of the 17th Lok Sabha, started with the address by President Droupadi Murmu to the joint sitting of two Houses on January 31. It is scheduled to conclude today.

Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar lashed out at Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge and other Congress leaders and said they have insulted former prime minister Chaudhary Charan Singh, who as conferred Bharat Ratna yesterday.
“You are hurting every farmer in the country by creating such an environment inside the House on the issue of Chaudhary Charan Singh,” he said.
Taking part in the discussion on the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, BJP MP Satya Pal Singh in Lok Sabha said that “where there is Ram, there is religion”.
“Those who destroy dharma (religion), are killed and those who protect dharma, are protected,” Mr Singh said.
During the discussion on the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, BJP MP Satya Pal Singh said that he is fortunate to get the opportunity to speak about the “Pran Pratishta”.
“It is historic to see the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ and offer prayers to Lord Ram at the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya,” he said.

Discussion On Ram Temple Begins In Lok Sabha
The discussion on the construction of the Ram Temple has started in Lok Sabha.
The parliamentary leaders of the constituents of the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) will meet at Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge’s office shortly.
The Congress has issued a whip to its MPs in the Lok Sabha to ensure their presence in the House today.
The Opposition party has issued a three-line whip in the Lok Sabha, party sources said.
On the last day of the Budget session, a short-duration discussion on White Paper on the Indian Economy is scheduled in the Rajya Sabha today.
BJP legislators Sushil Kumar Modi and Prakash Javadekar will raise the discussion informing its impact on the lives of the people of the country.
The Lok Sabha will today have a discussion on the construction of Ayodhya’s Ram temple.
The motion will be moved by BJP MPs Satya Pal Singh, Pratap Chandra Sarangi, and Santosh Pande.
