“I congratulate the Iranian national team and the nation on winning a gold medal by Amir Hossein Zare and winning two silver medals by Hassan Yazdani and Amir Mohammad Yazdani in the 2023 World Wrestling Championships in Serbia,” Iran’s Foreign Affairs Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian wrote on his X account.
The Iranian top diplomat also congratulated Ali Davodi for winning a silver medal in the 2023 IWF World Weightlifting Championships.
Iran gained 468 points in the 2023 IWF World Weightlifting Championships in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to rank third in the tournament.
The 2023 World Wrestling Championships are being hosted in Belgrade from September 16 to 24, featuring men’s freestyle action in the initial four days of the event.
