Anti-Israel protesters rally in front of Azerbaijani consulate in Turkey

Anti-Israel protesters have gathered in front of the Azerbaijani consulate in the Turkish main city of Istanbul to protest the sale of oil to the Israeli regime.

On Sunday, Turkish students gathered in front of the Republic of Azerbaijan’s consulate in Istanbul to protest against the sale of oil to the Zionist regime.

The group of pro-Palestine students held flags and banners while chanting slogans such as, “Azerbaijan’s oil feeds Israel” as Tel Aviv seeks the total destruction of Gaza.

They also objected to the transfer of oil from Turkey to Israeli-occupied Palestinian lands.

The Israeli regime purchases crude oil from Azerbaijan which is transferred via pipeline through Turkey to the Turkish Mediterranean oil hub port of Ceyhan and from there by ship tanker to the Israeli regime’s oil terminals at Ashkelon and Eilat.

Since the Israeli regime launched its months-long genocidal war on the besieged Gaza Strip, killing the innocent Palestinians trapped in the region, there has been growing criticism and public demonstrations in Turkey against the Zionist regime.

Public opinion in Turkey is strongly against the exports of goods to the Zionist regime.

Turkish citizens also organized a car convoy rally in front of the Israeli consulate in Istanbul on Sunday.

The Turkish people held the rally in protest to the Zionist regime’s atrocious crimes and the genocide of the people of Gaza.

Separately, a group of Turkish youths gathered in front of a holding company supplying electricity to the Zionist regime in Istanbul and expressed their protest against this issue.

The group of Turkish youths gathered on Sunday in front of Zorlu Holding, which is engaged in supplying electricity to the Zionist regime.

This Turkish multinational conglomerate holding, with the cooperation of the Turkish Electricity Company, supplies part of the electricity in the occupied Palestinian territories with 3 power plants.

During this protest, several of the youths were arrested by the Turkish police.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has repeatedly referred to the Israeli regime as a “war criminal” and “terrorist,” urging Tel Aviv to stop its war on Gaza which has so far killed more than 26,400 Palestinians, according to the figure unannounced by the health ministry.
