Jan. 22: ‘Axis of Resistance’ operations against Israeli occupation

Resistance groups in Palestine and across the region continue their operations against Israel and its Western backers amid the regime’s genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, which has claimed the lives of more than 25,500 Palestinians, mostly children and women.

The operations carried out by the Palestinian and regional resistance groups on Monday, January 22, are as follows:

Al-Qassam Brigades’ operations on Jan. 22:

  • Destroyed four Merkava tanks and one military D9-bulldozer in various battle zones throughout the besieged Gaza Strip.
  • Targeted an Israeli military force with an anti-personnel explosive, causing casualties west of Khan Yunis.
  • Targeted a fortified building of an Israeli special force with a TBG anti-fortification rocket, resulting in casualties southwest of Gaza City.
  • Sniped an Israeli soldier, inflicting direct injury upon him, southwest of Gaza City.

Al-Quds Brigades’ operations on Jan. 22:

  • Targeted an Israeli military vehicle with RPG in the center of Khan Yunis city.
  • Shelled an Israeli military concentration with mortars east of the Zaytoun neighborhood in Gaza City.
  • Targeted a gathering of Israeli soldiers with a Badr-1 IRAM rocket, east of Al-Maghazi camp, central Gaza Strip.
  • Engaged in clashes with Israeli soldiers and military vehicles using various suitable weapons in axes of Khan Yunis city.
  • Shelled a supply route and movements of military vehicles, east of Jabalia, with mortars in a joint operation with the Al-Qassam Brigades.
  • Shelled Israeli military concentrations and their vehicles in axes of Khan Yunis with mortars.  

Mujahideen Brigades’ operations on Jan. 22:

  • Shelled Israeli military gatherings, east of Gaza City, with heavy caliber mortars.
  • Engaged in fierce clashes with Israeli troops and military vehicles in axes of Khan Yunis, using diverse and suitable weapons.

Al-Asifah Forces’ operations on Jan. 22:

  • Engaged in clashes with Israeli soldiers using machine guns and RPGs in the city of Khan Younis.
  • Shelled the Israeli military gatherings in the Al-Mahatta area in Khan Younis with heavy-caliber mortars.

Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades’ operations on Jan. 22:

  • Shelled Israeli military positions, east of Gaza City, with heavy caliber mortars.

Al-Aqsa Brigades’ operations on Jan. 22:

  • Targeted an Israeli armored carrier (APC) with RPGs, west of Khan Yunis, southern Gaza Strip.
  • Engaged in intense clashes with Israeli soldiers using machine guns in the west of Khan Yunis.
  • Shelled an Israeli military gathering west of Khan Yunis with a barrage of heavy caliber mortars.

Hezbollah’s operations on Jan. 22:

Eastern sector:

  • At around 15:30 local time, the Al-Sammaqa site in Shebaa was targeted with missiles.

Western sector:

  • At around midnight local time, an Israeli force was targeted in the vicinity of Zarit Barracks with missiles.
  • At around 11:15 local time, a gathering of Israeli regime soldiers in the vicinity of the Rahib site was targeted with appropriate weapons.
  • At around 12:30 local time, an Israeli military force was targeted at Abu Dajjaj Heights with appropriate weapons.
  • At around 17:00 local time, a gathering of Israeli regime soldiers in the vicinity of the Evin Menachem settlement was targeted with missiles.

Iraqi resistance’s operations on Jan. 22:

  • Attacked with missiles for the third time the occupied Conoco base in Syria, leading to large-scale destruction and casualties.
  • Attacked the port of Ashdod in occupied territories with drones.

Yemeni military’s operations on Jan. 22:

  • Targeted a US military cargo ship (OCEAN JAZZ) in the Gulf of Aden with anti-ship missiles.
