The US Ain al-Assad Airbase was targeted by the Iraqi Islamic Resistance group, Aljazeera reported on Monday.
Al Jazeera news channel, citing a statement by the Iraqi Islamic Resistance reported that its forces targeted the Ain al-Asad base in the west of the country with a drone on Monday.
This airbase is home to many American troops and it is located in al-Anbar Province.
The news came after the news sources reported on Monday that an explosion was heard in the Koniko gas field that is home to the US troops in eastern Syria.
