A senior Palestinian politician says the country’s resistance managed to bring an end to Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s political life.
Mustafa Barghouti, leader of the Palestinian National Initiative political party, said the Palestinian resistance led Netanyahu to the end of his political life, Lebanon’s al-Mayadeen news channel reported.
Netanyahu, he added, fully endorses schemes developed by his fascist cabinet members like finance minister Bezalel Smotrich and security minister Itamar Ben-Gvir,
The two far-right Israeli ministers have advocated for the resettlement of people outside of the Gaza Strip, inciting genocide against the Palestinian nation and promoting racial segregation. They have also ruled out the establishment of a sovereign Palestinian state.
Over the weekend, Netanyahu once again rejected the creation of an independent Palestinian state.
The rejection came hours after a phone call with US President Joe Biden after which the latter indicated the Israeli premier may still accept the idea.
Netanyahu’s spokesman said that during the conversation, Netanyahu had told the US president that the Tel Aviv regime’s security needs left no space for a sovereign Palestinian state.
The United States, however, believes that the so-called two-state solution is vital for long-term stability in West Asia.
Barghouti denounced Biden’s “hypocritical” approach, saying he has called for the resolution of the Palestine issue within the two-state framework without asking the Israeli regime to agree to a Gaza ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, halt its settlement construction activities, and end the occupation of the Palestinian territories.
“Biden, who entered the battle alongside the Israeli regime, hopes that his plan [for Palestine] will help him win the upcoming presidential election in the US, but it will be the opposite,” he added.
Meanwhile, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres called opposition to the so-called two-state solution “unacceptable.”
The refusal to accept the two-state solution for Israelis and Palestinians, and the denial of the right to statehood for the Palestinian people, are unacceptable.
The right of the Palestinian people to build their own state must be recognized by all.

Israel waged its genocidal war on besieged Gaza on October 7 after the Palestinian Hamas resistance group carried out a historic operation against the usurping entity in retaliation for its intensified atrocities against the Palestinian people.
However, more than 100 days into the offensive, the Tel Aviv regime has failed to achieve its objectives in the Gaza Strip despite killing at least 25,105 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injuring 62,681 others.
The US is a partner in the Gaza carnage as it has supplied Israel with weapons and intelligence support, and blocked UN resolutions calling for a humanitarian ceasefire in the Palestinian territory.
