Ghalibaf on Tuesday praised the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) for attacks on terrorist targets in Syria and Iraq’s Kurdistan region.
He said the IRGC had reminded the United States, the Zionist regime, and the terrorists that the era when they used to carry out hit-and-run attacks is long over.
Back in 2007, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said “We will persist so that the enemy will not think of transgressing so that if he even behaves in a transgressing manner, he will receive a harsh blow and response. Long ago, I said that the time of hit and run against the Islamic Republic is over.”
Early on Tuesday, the IRGC issued statements saying its attacks on terrorists in the region were in response to recent terrorist attacks in Iran’s southeastern city of Kerman as well as a terrorist attack on the Rask police station in Sistan and Baluchistan province.
