According to a Monday report by the Al-Shorouk News, the South African legal team were welcomed at the Johannesburg airport upon their return from The Hague, where the ICJ is based.
The crowd chanted slogans in solidarity with the Palestinian people.
On Saturday, a large number of South Africans demonstrated in support of their country’s lawsuit against the Zionist regime.
South Africa filed a case against Israel at the ICJ in November, accusing the regime of committing crimes of genocide against Palestinians in Gaza as part of a relentless military campaign that has killed more than 23,000 people and caused widespread destruction in the besieged enclave since it started in early October.
