Rajanna-Sircilla: Candidates appearing for the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) were given the wrong question paper on Friday. Instead of biological science, environment science papers were given to the candidates who attended the TET examination in Siddartha School, Shivanagar of Sircilla town in the afternoon session.
The TET exam was held in 15 examination centers in Sircilla. Noticing the mistake after 40 minutes, officials gave the biological science question paper and provided additional time to candidates to write the examination after getting permission from higher officials.
Candidates alleged that the mistake occured because of negligence of officials. Officials reportedly asked them to remove the bubbles marked on the OMR sheet of the environment science paper with a whitener.
Responding to the issue, District Education Officer Ramesh Kumar said the incident happened because the question papers came late. The candidates need not to worry since their OMR sheets would be validated. The decision was taken after consulting with higher officials, he said.
