In a message on Saturday, the Iranian president condoled with the new Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Meshaal al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah, the royal family of Kuwait, and the country’s government and nation over the demise of Sheikh Nawaf.
President Raeisi prayed for the deceased Kuwaiti Emir to rest in peace, also calling upon the God Almighty to bestow patience to his bereaved family.
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian also extended a message condoling with the people and government of Kuwait.
Sheikh Nawaf passed away earlier today at the age of 86.
