Assembly Election Results 2023: BJP fielded several MPs and Union ministers for four assembly polls

New Delhi:

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has fielded several MPs and Union ministers for the four assembly polls, the results of which will be announced today. The majority of the BJP leaders, including three Union ministers who are contesting in Madhya Pradesh, are Lok Sabha members.

Most of these lawmakers have been fielded on relatively difficult assembly seats, where the party had lost in the last elections.

Madhya Pradesh Assembly Election Results 2023

BJP MP Narendra Singh Tomar, who was fielded from the Dimani constituency in the Morena district, won by 24,461 votes. He received 79,137 votes.

Prahlad Patel, the minister of state for food processing, contested from Narsingpur and won by 31,310 votes.

Faggan Singh Kulaste, the Minister for state for rural development, lost by 9,723 votes from Niwas, a seat reserved for scheduled tribes. While Mr Kulaste received 89,921 votes, Congress’ Chainsingh Warkade won the seat after securing 99,644 votes.

The BJP also fielded Rakesh Singh, the incumbent Jabalpur MP, from the Jabalpur-West assembly seat. He won by 30,134 votes.

Uday Pratap Singh, the sitting Member of Parliament from Hoshangabad, won by a margin of 56,529 votes from Gadarwara.

Riti Pathak, a member of the Lok Sabha from Sidhi is contesting her first assembly election. She is currently leading by 22,100 votes from the Sidhi seat.

Ganesh Singh, a four-time Lok Sabha MP, is contesting from the Satna assembly seat, which the party lost in 2018. He is trailing by 4,693 votes.

Rajasthan Assembly Election Results 2023

BJP’s Jaipur Rural MP Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore won by 50,167 votes from the Jhotwara constituency. 

Diya Kumari, the sitting MP from Rajsamand, secured 71,368 votes and won the Vidhyadhar Nagar seat in Jaipur.

BJP Rajya Sabha MP Kirodi Lal Meena fought from Sawai Madhopur and won by a margin of 22,510 votes.

Alwar MP Baba Balaknath, who contested from the Tijara constituency, won by 6,173 votes.

Jhunjhunu MP Narendra Kumar, who was fielded from the Mandawa seat, lost by 18,717 votes. Congress leader Kumari Rita Chaudhary received 98,747 votes, while Mr Kumar got 80,030.

Ajmer MP Bhagirath Choudhary lost by 46,111 votes from Kishangarh. Jalore MP Devji Patel also lost from the Sanchore seat by 64,983 votes.

Chhattisgarh Assembly Election Results 2023

Lok Sabha MP Vijay Baghel, who has been fielded against Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel from the Patan seat, is currently trailing by over 17,000 votes. While Bhupesh Baghel has so far polled 86,691 votes, Vijay Baghel has received 68,924 votes.

Union minister Renuka Singh, who is contesting from Bharatpur-Sonhat, is leading by 4,576 votes, the latest trends available on the Election Commission website showed.

Union minister Gomati Sai won by just 255 votes from Pathalgaon. While Ms Sai secured 82,320 votes, her closest rival Congress’ Rampukar Singh Thakur received 82,065 votes.

The BJP fielding MPs and Union ministers in the assembly polls worked for the party as most of the leaders emerged victorious in their respective seats.
