In his message on Friday, President Raeisi hailed the team’s achievement and the honor it brought to the people of Iran.
The Iranian junior weightlifters showcased an impressive performance at the championships, securing five gold medals, nine silvers, and one bronze. Their efforts culminated in a total score of 660 points, leading them to be crowned as world champions.
This victory marks Iran’s fifth championship at the Junior World Weightlifting Championships. The competition, which took place from November 15 to November 23, saw the participation of 229 lifters from 44 countries.
President Raeisi’s message highlighted the significance of this achievement, congratulating the people of Iran on the honor and championship of their country’s men’s weightlifting team.
