Hyderabad: Congress leader and AICC member Palvai Sravanthi tendered her resignation from the party on Saturday. Sources suggest that she is likely to join BRS.
Sravanthi, who recently contested as an MLA candidate in the Munugode by-poll, secured the third position with 23,906 votes. She has been upset with the party’s leadership as she was not being chosen as the candidate for the upcoming state assembly elections from Munugode.
The Congress party opted for Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy, who recently returned to the party, as their candidate for Munugode.
