Tehran, New Delhi calls for end to Gaza humanitarian crisis

Tehran, New Delhi calls for end to Gaza humanitarian crisis

Speaking in a telephone conversation with his Indian counterpart, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian pointed out that India and other countries are expected to take initiatives to establish a ceasefire and send extensive humanitarian aid to the oppressed Palestinian people in Gaza, prevent occupied forces from committing massive genocide, war crimes and forced migration of the Gaza residents.

The continuation of Zionist attacks would complicate the situation in the region and would open new fronts by the Resistance forces, he warned, saying that this would lead to the spreading of conflicts in the region.

The Iranian diplomat also informed his Indian counterpart about the latest status of joint cooperation in launching the Chabahar Port project, emphasizing further negotiations between the two sides on other issues of interest to the parties.

Indian Foreign Minister for his part expressed his displeasure with the Gaza situation, stating that India is closely monitoring the situation in the region and believes that joint actions and efforts should be made to improve human conditions in Gaza.

India is ready to play a role in the process of halting military operations and preventing the escalation of the crisis within the framework of the initiatives offered by Iran, he noted.

Jaishankar also raised some bilateral issues in this phone call.
