The Israeli regime has added more villages to its list of places near Lebanon that need to evacuate amid an intensifying confrontation with the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah.

The regime said on Sunday it would evacuate 14 more communities in the northern occupied territories near Lebanon, a week after it moved residents out of 28 border-area villages and the nearby town of Kiryat Shmona.

The Israeli regime has evacuated those communities to temporary accommodation as it fears heavy casualties from cross-border clashes with Hezbollah.

Hezbollah attacks on the Israelis have killed at least six, including five soldiers, since they began less than two weeks ago in support of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas and its operation against Israel.

Nearly 40 people have been killed on the Lebanese side of the border, according to statements from Hezbollah and Lebanese security forces.

The confrontation is the largest to erupt between Hezbollah and Israel since they fought a major war in 2006.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited Israeli troops on the Lebanese border on Sunday as he sought to warn Hezbollah against scaling up attacks against the Israeli regime.

“We will strike it with a force it cannot even imagine,” said Netanyahu in reference to a potential escalation with Hezbollah.

Hezbollah has warned it could expand its attacks if the Israeli regime intensifies its brutal campaign against people in the Gaza Strip, a Palestinian enclave where Hamas is based.

The resistance group has also warned any foreign intervention in the Palestinian conflict may cause the war to spread to other parts of the region.

More than 4,600 people have been killed in Gaza since Israel launched its assaults on the enclave on October 7, the day when Hamas launched Operation Al-Aqsa Storm against the occupiers, killing 1,400 settlers and troops.
