Amir-Abdollahian made the remarks in a meeting with the OIC Secretary General Hissein Brahim Taha on the sidelines of the meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Wednesday.
Condemning the Israeli regime’s crimes against Palestinians, the Iranian foreign minister urged Islamic states, that had established relations with the regime, to expel the Zionist envoys.
He also called for paying attention to the legal pursuit of Zionist war criminals and their supporters in the upcoming OIC meeting.
Hissein Brahim Taha, for his part, hailed Iran’s position regarding the issue of Palestine and stressed the need for Islamic nations to be united against the Israeli regime’s crimes.
Amir-Abdollahian also met and held talks with his Kuwaiti counterpart Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah in Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah on the sidelines of the meeting.
During the meeting, the top Iranian diplomat hailed Kuwait’s support for Palestine and called for the ending of the Israeli regime’s attack on the Gaza Strip.
Amir-Abdollahian added that the continuation of the ongoing genocide by the Zionist apartheid regime in Gaza will cause the situation of the region to go out of control.
The Kuwaiti foreign minister, for his part, stressed the need to end the war and start dispatching humanitarian aid to Gaza immediately.
On the second day of the Zionist regime’s attacks, Iran requested the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to hold an urgent meeting with the foreign ministers of the member states, he said.
Speaking to the reporters in Saudi Arabia earlier on Wednesday, Amir-Abdollahian said that during the consultation with the foreign minister of Saudi Arabia, they agreed to issue a strong final resolution by the participating members to witness a global collective action to stop the crime against humanity, genocide, and massacre that the fake and child-killing regime has launched.
