A fight between customers took place in a leisure destination in Miami in the early morning and gunshots were then fired among a security guard, police officers, and a gunman, Xinhua reported.
The gunman and the security guard were killed while a police officer and six bystanders got shot, reports said.
The wounded police officer has been discharged from the hospital while two of the bystanders are still in critical condition.
The cause of the gunfire is under investigation.
The United States has by far the highest rate of gun-related deaths among wealthy countries. Over 4,200 people died and more than 7,500 others were injured from gun violence in the country so far in 2024, according to the Gun Violence Archive.
