IAS Officer In Madhya Pradesh Who Made 'Aukaat' Remark Transferred

Shajapur district administration had organised a meeting with truck drivers.

Bhopal:

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Wednesday removed Shajapur Collector Kishore Kumar Kanyal from his post following the official’s rude questioning of a driver’s “aukat” (status) amid a protest by truckers against the new hit-and-run law.

Chief Minister Yadav told ANI, “It was brought to my notice that the language used during the meeting between truck drivers and district administration in Shajapur was not appropriate for an officer. This government is the government of the poor and under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we work for the upliftment of the poor. In such a situation, every officer, irrespective of their position, should respect the work of the poor and also respect their feelings.”

“Such language will not tolerated at all in our government. I am myself the son of a labourer and hence I hope that in future, if officials speak such language then they do not have the right to be in the field. I hope that the next officer who will be posted there will take care of the language and behaviour. This kind of language hurt me and I will never forgive such things,” he added.

Notably, during the meeting on Tuesday, Shajapur Collector asked a truck driver, “Tumhari aukat kya hai (What is your status?)”.
The Shajapur district administration had organised a meeting with truck drivers to persuade them to end the strike of transporters regarding the new hit-and-run law.

According to a state government order today, Narsinghpur Collector Riju Bafna (IAS) was named as the new collector of Shajapur district while Kanyal was made the state deputy secretary.

Meanwhile, truckers called off their protest on Tuesday night after Union home secretary Ajay Bhalla said the decision to invoke the new hit-and-run case-related penal provision would be taken only after consultation with the All India Motor Transport Congress.

Art of eulogy one of important soft powers in Islamic society

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Seyyed Ali Khamenei received religious eulogists on Wednesday. The meeting was held on the occasion of the birthday anniversary of Hazrat Fatima al-Zahra (SA).

“Today, the burden of jihad of clarification is on the shoulders of you Ahl al-Bayt elegists and eulogists,” Ayatollah Khamenei said during a meeting with a large number of elegists and eulogists at the Imam Khomeini Hussainiyah.

In his remarks, the Leader highlighted the necessity of “jihad of clarification” to neutralize the enemies’ plots.

“Among the prominent and distinguished characteristics of Fatemeh al-Zahra (AS) is her jihad of clarification,” the Leader said.

He described the late Imam Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Revolution, as the greatest performer of jihad of clarification in the contemporary era, saying that Imam Khomeini managed to overthrow the corrupt Pahlavi dynasty and establish a religious democratic government through jihad of clarification.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Ayatollah Khamenei paid homage to Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani, Iran’s top anti-terror commander who was assassinated by the US military on January 3, 2020.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Ayatollah Khamenei stated that participating in elections is a duty and creating a sense of duty towards elections is an important task for clarification activists.

He emphasized that the art of eulogy is among the most important parts of the soft power of the Islamic society which is more effective than hard power.

He continued that the importance of soft power is the reason that the US invests the most in areas such as media, art, literature, and cinema despite all the advanced weapons.

Referring to the US’ disgraceful escape from Afghanistan and the deep hatred of the Iraqi people for the White House, the leader described the effect of hard power as temporary and destructible, adding that hard power could not make US presence in these two countries permanent and successful.

Elsewhere in his remarks, he noted that soft power has been able to put a seemingly minority group like the Palestinian people in the center of the world’s attention, which is due to the oppression, patience, and resistance of the Palestinian people.

The leader pointed out that the people of Gaza are standing not only against the Zionist regime but also against the arrogant powers including the US, adding that the fact that the US president openly described himself as a Zionist means that he has the same malice goals as the Zionists.

He further stressed that one of the tasks of the clarification activists is to explain the issues of the day, including the events in Gaza, adding that fighting against the false propaganda of the United States and its allies against Islam and the Islamic Establishment is also a duty.

Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized that participating in elections is a duty and that anyone who opposes the elections has opposed the Islamic Republic and Islam.

"Thanks To Kapil…": Gavaskar's Ultimate Revelation As Siraj Shows Might

Mohammed Siraj‘s six-wicket haul against South Africa in the first session of the second Test in Cape Town once again showed India’s pace might. Apart from Siraj, Jasprit Bumrah and Muesh Kumar took two wickets each. It was yet another proof of Indian pace bowling being one of the best in the world. In a straight spell of nine overs, Siraj picked a career-best 6 for 15 as the South African batters made a beeline back to the dug-out, unable to counter the disconcerting bounce and the movement, both inward and outward, that he extracted off the surface.

Former Indian cricket team captain Sunil Gavaskar said that Kapil Dev has impacted India’s pace prowess a lot.

“All thanks to Kapil Dev. He has shown that in India you don’t necessarily have to be a spin bowler. Even in Indian pitches one can take wicket. Of course when you go to wickets like South Africa, England Australia, New Zealand, you will get lot more assistance as a new ball bowler. Since then India have produced a range of fast bowlers,” Sunil Gavaskar said on Star Sports.

“But particularly in the last 10-12 years, thanks to the IPL, there are a lot of fast bowlers who have come to the fore. Now India have a bench strength of fast bowlers which probably is going to be the envy of the cricket world. There are left-handers, right-handers, there is so much of talent available if any of these guys want to take a break. You saw when Jasprit Bumrah was not present, how Indian bowlers came in and performed. particularly Mohammed Shami. I think this will be a tribute to Kapil Dev. I also think for the first time in many, many years India will win a match on his birthday on January 6.”

On a humid Wednesday morning, South African batters found what a great leveller the game of cricket is with Siraj ripping the heart out of the Proteas batting with a masterclass of pace, swing and seam movement. The Proteas innings ended in just 23.2 overs.

David Bedingham (12) and Kyle Verreynne (15) were the only two batters to hit the double digits as the South African supporters in stands were stunned into silence.

Jasprit Bumrah (2/25 in 8 overs) also kept the pressure from the other end as Indian skipper Rohit Sharma kept his promise of making opposite number Dean Elgar‘s life miserable in his farewell Test.

Mukesh Kumar (2/0) also wrapped the tail up and proved that he is way better than a bits and pieces Shardul Thakur in these conditions.

Having been pilloried for conceding 400 plus runs in the heavy defeat at the Centurion, even the biggest of Indian supporters wouldn’t have envisaged such a roaring comeback from the bowlers.

Siraj kept the ball on fuller lengths between 4-6 metres and with bounce got most balls to jag back in.

From the other end, Bumrah hit the back of length area as Rohit set completely attacking fields, albeit of different nature.

26-Year-Old Brazilian YouTuber Found Buried In Neighbour's Backyard

26-Year-Old Brazilian YouTuber Found Buried In Neighbour's Backyard

An autopsy will determine the cause of death, cops said.

The body of a 26-year-old Brazilian YouTuber has been found buried in the backyard of some of his neighbours. According to The New York Post, Carlos Henrique Medeiros was reported missing on Christmas Day after he failed to return home for dinner with friends who later said that he had left their home late at night. Mr Medeiros’ family then searched hospitals and woods until Saturday when someone “saw a mound of dirt in the house of this couple” he had visited for the holidays.

“They went in and saw my brother’s T-shirt showing in the dirt,” the 26-year-old’s sister Cristiane Aparecida Medeiros said, as per the outlet. “They called the police, who went there and found him buried,” she added.

The couple who own the home, Renan Jose and Caroline Mello, claimed that the influencer died while doing drugs and having sex with Ms Mello’s sister. “The couple’s version is this: They buried him because they didn’t know what to do with the body,” Police Chief Luis Roberto Faria Hellmeister said.

“He allegedly had an overdose while taking Caroline’s sister to have sex in the bathroom. At the moment he was having an orgasm, he felt unwell and fell dead. That’s what they said,” the police chief added.

The Post reported that the couple turned themselves in to authorities on Sunday. Now, an autopsy will determine the cause of death. However, police said that they found evidence of stab wounds, strangulation or gunshots on the body.

“If the report indicates that his death was accidental, the couple will be charged with concealing a corpse,” Mr Hellmeister said. “If it is proven that he was murdered, the man and the woman will be charged with homicide,” he added.

Mr Medeiros’ family, however, does not believe the overdose story. “If my brother really got sick as they claimed, why didn’t they call an ambulance to help him?” the YouTuber’s sister said.

Carlos Henrique Medeiros had 1.77 million subscribers on YouTube. He was known for his prank videos and skits.

Hyderabad sets new record with historic residential sales surge in 2023

Hyderabad: Hyderabad’s real estate market witnessed an unprecedented surge in residential sales, hitting a historic pinnacle in 2023, according to the latest report released by Knight Frank India.

The “India Real Estate – Residential and Office Market Report” revealed that a 6 per cent year-on-year (YoY) increase propelled the annual residential sales to an all-time high of 32,880 units in 2023. This upswing was attributed to the discernible shift among homebuyers who increasingly prioritize lifestyle upgrades, emphasizing amenity-rich communities in their quest for the ideal living space.

According to the report, an integral factor contributing to this record-breaking surge was the substantial rise in residential launches, soaring by 7 per cent YoY to 46,985 units in 2023. Of these, 43 per cent were high-value homes, priced above Rs 10 million, reflecting the evolving preferences for opulence and luxury in residential choices. This demand also resulted in 11 per cent growth in the average residential price of the city, reaching Rs 5,550 per sft.

The report highlighted that several key micro markets in the city experienced a substantial double-digit rental appreciation, especially in the West and South regions, signifying a growing interest in these areas.

Also, the city outskirts witnessed increased attention and growth in property values, with Kokapet registering a staggering 39 per cent increase in the price range of Rs 10,045 to 12,500 per sft over 12 months, followed by Manikonda with a 28 per cent surge and Rajendra Nagar with a 20 per cent surge.

The report outlined a significant shift in the preferences of homebuyers regarding ticket categories. The proportion of affordable residential sales, homes below Rs 5 million, dwindled from 26 per cent in 2018 to 11 per cent in 2023. Similarly, the mid-value segment, encompassing homes priced between Rs 5 million to 10 million, witnessed a decline from 52 per cent in 2018 to 40 per cent in 2023.
