Hyderabad: BRS working president and Minister KT Rama Rao urged people of Kamareddy constituency not to sell their land, even if it is just a small plot of one gunta (120 sq.yards) as the fate of the constituency was about to change for good. He stated that Kamareddy would experience remarkable progress once it becomes the Chief Minister’s constituency.

Addressing the party cadre meeting in Machareddy mandal of Kamareddy constituency on Tuesday, Rama Rao said Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao decided to contest from Kamareddy constituency, to foster the region’s overall development. He explained that after the plans for Kamareddy are announced, the lands within a 50 km radius of the constituency would witness increased value by 20 to 30 times, benefiting the local population.

“People of Kamareddy constituency believe that the constituency will be developed after the Chief Minister’s victory in the upcoming elections. It will receive Godavari River water in the next nine months. Water will be brought from Maddimalla to Machareddy,” he said.

Responding to speculations about Revanth Reddy‘s candidacy in Kamareddy, the Minister raised doubts about the ability of the TPCC president to secure a victory. He questioned how someone who failed to win in Kodangal and left the constituency could contend in Kamareddy. He stated that the people are prepared to teach a lesson to Revanth Reddy should he decide to contest in this constituency.

“The opposition parties are hesitating to compete in Kamareddy since the Chief Minister revealed his intention to run from this constituency. Both the Congress and the BJP lost credibility as they failed to safeguard the interests of Telangana repeatedly,” he added.

Hyderabad: TPCC president A Revanth Reddy’s remarks on Rythu Bandhu scheme has drawn severe criticism from different sections with many questioning the Congress party’s respect towards the farming community.

Under Rythu Bandhu, Telangana government offers Rs.10,000 to farmers per acre per year as input subsidy. It is the only State in the country to extend such financial assistance, with farmers in multiple other States demanding replication of the scheme in their States.

However, the TPCC president while addressing at the public meeting, Kollapur said the Telangana government was offering Rs.10,000 to farmers as alms, and claimed that the Congress government would offer Rs.15,000 to farmers. The TPCC president’s remarks did not go well with different sections and many sought to know the Congress party’s stance on farmers.

Stating that the farming community would teach a fitting lesson to the TPCC president, a netizen tweeted: “A few days ago, the Congress leader had said three hours power supply was sufficient to farmers. This was followed with another proclamation that Rythu Bandhu was waste. A senior leader from Karnataka said five hours power was being supplied to farmers. Today, Rythu Bandhu was being dubbed as alms out of arrogance..”

Another netizen said the TPCC president should mind his language. Others pointed out that Rythu Bandhu was launched by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. In the 60 years of being in power, the Congress had never got the idea of such a scheme, and still, a subsidy of Rs.10000 looked like alms to Revanth Reddy.

Hyderabad: BRS working president and Minister KT Rama Rao criticised the BJP, alleging that the party has turned India into a “unemployed nation.” He said BJP State president G Kishan Reddy who proved to be an inefficient Union Minister and made zero contribution to development of Telangana and its people, lacks the moral authority to discuss job appointments.

In a strong retort to Kishan Reddy’s allegations, Rama Rao pointed out that India was witnessing the highest ever unemployment rate of last 45 years during Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s tenure. He said Prime Minister Modi, who promised to generate two crore jobs annually, has failed to fulfill his commitment and cheated the nation’s youth.

Challenging Kishan Reddy, the BRS working president questioned whether any State government in India had filled as many job vacancies as the Telangana State government did in the past decade. While around 1,60,000 government posts were already filled successfully, the process of recruitments to another 70,000 posts is underway. He criticised the BJP for pursuing legal cases and creating obstacles in the government job recruitments.

Rama Rao dared Kishan Reddy to make the BJP-led Central government release a ‘white paper’ on the number of jobs filled over last ten years and the existing vacancies in various departments. He stated that more than 16 lakh Central government jobs are lying vacant.

The Minister said that despite the Centre canceling projects like the Information Technology Investment Region (ITIR) and refraining from establishing Bayyaram Steel factory and other provisions promised under Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, the Telangana government succeeded in attracting investments in private sector and creating over 24 lakh jobs in key sectors like IT, manufacturing, pharma and others.

Iranian foreign minister to visit Turkey to discuss Gaza

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will meet Amir-Abdollahian, and the two will discuss the situation in Palestine as well as current regional developments and bilateral relations, the ministry added.

The top Iranian diplomat visited Qatar for a second time in over the past weeks where he held with high-ranking Qatari officials as well as Hamas Ismail Hamniya on Tuesday.

The Israeli army has expanded its air and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip, which has been under relentless airstrikes since the surprise attack by the Palestinian Islamic Resistance movement Hamas on Oct. 7.

More than 10,000 people have been killed in the conflict since then, including 8,525 Palestinians and more than 1,538 Zionist regime’s soldiers and settlers.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected growing calls for a cease-fire.

An Israeli blockade of the strip has also cut Gaza off from fuel, electricity, and water supplies, and reduced aid deliveries are unable to satisfy the needs of the over 2 million Palestinians there.
