Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian has extended his congratulations to the government of Pakistan on the country’s National Day.
In a post on his X account on Saturday, Amir-Abdollahian felicitated Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar and all the people of Pakistan on this auspicious day.
Today, March 23, is the National Day of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. From my heart, I congratulate the President @AAliZardari, Prim Minister @CMShehbaz, Foreign Minister @MIshaqDar50 and all the good people of Pakistan on this auspicious day.

In a phone call with the Pakistani prime minister earlier in March, Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi said Tehran is prepared to expand all-out relations with Islamabad.
Over two months ago, Iran-Pakistan relations soured following an escalation of cross-border tensions over counter-terrorism operations. Soon afterwards, however, the two neighbors took steps towards easing tensions.
