President Raeisi made the remarks in a meeting with the Prime Minister of Niger Ali Lamine Zeine in Tehran on Thursday morning.
During the meeting, the Iranian president stated that the relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Niger and all African countries are beyond political and diplomatic relations and are based on mutual interests between the nations.
“Certainly, the Muslim nation of Niger will have a bright future with such a morale and by relying on what they have,” he stressed.
Referring to the dark record of America and Western countries in looting the resources and wealth of nations under the guise of human rights slogans and creating security, Raeisi said, “Today’s situation in Gaza and what is happening to the oppressed people of this region reveals the main nature of these self-proclaimed human rights advocate countries and it shows that human lives have no value for them and they use these slogans only for their own interests”.
Stating that there are no obstacles in the development of relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Niger, the President stressed the readiness of Tehran to exchange capacities in various sectors, especially energy, industry, and mining and export technical engineering services.
Ali Lamine Zeine, for his part, emphasized the importance of the role and position of the Islamic Republic of Iran in regional and global equations, and mentioned “common religious foundations”, “independence” and “seeking rights” as common points between the two nations of Iran and Niger and added, “These commonalities have caused Niger to consider the Islamic Republic of Iran as a reliable friend and partner in the world”.
The Prime Minister of Niger further explained the internal situation and foreign relations of his country and emphasized Niger’s interest in developing and deepening relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran in various sectors.
