Sheikh Tamim made the remarks Wednesday night in a phone call with Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, expressing solidarity with the Iranian government and nation after nearly 100 people were killed earlier in the day in two terrorist blasts in the city of Kerman.
“This criminal act, perpetrated by those seeking to destabilize Iran, has failed to achieve its expected results. But are confident in the national unity of the Iranian nation and stand by your side,” he said.
The Qatari Emir also called for deeper cooperation between Qatar, Iran, and other Islamic countries in the region to put an end to the Israeli atrocities in the Gaza Strip.
In the phone call, President Raisi said that the Iranian people have proven that terrorist actions cannot disrupt their “resolve, national unity and resilient spirit.”
