Hyderabad: Y. Sandeep’s impressive knock (93 n.o., 61b, 6×4, 6×6) helped Capital Amaravathi Royals score a five-wicket win against Vijayawada Sunshiners in the Andhra Premier League T-20 cricket championship at ACA International Stadium in Mangalagiri on Friday.
Batting first, Sunshiners scored 170 in 20 overswith DB Prasanth (47, 31b, 3×4, 2×6), M. Harsha Vardhan (37, 27b, 3×4, 1×6) and K. Ashwin Hebbar (39, 25b, 4×4,1×6) being themain scorers.
In reply, Royals reached the target in 19 overs thanks to Sandeep’s fluent knock.
The scores: Vijayawada Sunshiners 170 in 20 overs (DB Prasanth 47, M. Harsha Vardhan 37, K. Ashwin Hebbar 39, B, Ayyappa 2/33, M. Tohisth Yadav 2/38) lost to Capital Amaravathi Royals 173/5 in 19 overs (Y. Sandeep 93 n.o., A. Lalith Mohan 2/25).
