Irani made the remarks while speaking at a conference in Tehran in reference to the presence of a US aircraft carrier in the Persian Gulf waters.
Noting that many believed that the US aircraft carrier had come to the region to change the equities, the commander said that “they have come for sedition and meeting their own needs”.
“We will soon force them out of the region,” he said. “We will no longer be under pressure and can exert influence.”
Elsewhere in his remarks, Irani called on the government to pay due attention to the sea-borne economy to create jobs.
