Palestinians went on general strike on Monday in the West Bank and al-Quds, where commercial shops, educational facilities were closed and streets were empty in solidarity with Gaza.
Activists called for the general strike to protest against the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip and the American role in the war.
Streets in Ramallah, al-Quds and al-Khalil were deserted with even coffee kiosks that usually remain open on strike days, shutting for the day.
In addition, public and private schools, as well as universities and institutes were also closed.
Some Arab and Western countries witnessed calls from activists and unions to participate in today’s strike.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Health in Gaza said on Sunday that about 18,000 Palestinians were killed and 49,500 injured as a result of Israeli attacks on the Strip since October 7.
