US protesters denounce 'Genocide Joe' Biden, call for ceasefire in Gaza

Pro-Palestinian protesters have gathered at a top-dollar fundraiser for US President Joe Biden, demanding a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

The large group of protesters, who had gathered outside the Biden fundraiser in Los Angeles on Friday, denounced the Democratic president for his complicity in the Zionist regime’s atrocities amid the ongoing massacre of Palestinians in Gaza.

The protesters, some 1,000 or so, disrupted traffic while waving the Palestinian flag, carrying balloons, holding banners, and chanting “Genocide Joe”.

Some protesters also carried signs that read, “Biden is a war criminal,” “End all US aid to Israel,” “America, don’t let your tax $ funding kill babies” and “come November we’ll remember.”

“Can’t you see what’s going on in Gaza: [Israel’s] bombing people? They’re not even fighting Hamas. They’re fighting the people. The bombs comes from the United States every single day,” one of the protesters said.

“You can’t do anything without a ceasefire,” said another protester. “They [Israelis] are on the offense.”

The pro-Palestinian protesters are pushing for a ceasefire in Gaza, blaming the war on the United States’ unconditional support for the Israeli regime.

They vowed to stop the protests when the killing in Gaza stops.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) declared the gathering as unlawful and cordoned off the fundraiser’s venue, bringing in its tactical squads for backup.

The protesters threw projectiles at officers stationed behind a security barrier fence set up to stop the protesters.

The anti-Israeli protest takes place as Biden is on a visit to Southern California to attend fundraiser events this weekend.

In the meantime, Israeli attacks on the besieged region have been going on for more than two months.

International humanitarian relief organizations have sounded the alarm about an “apocalyptic” situation in the Gaza Strip amid the continued Israeli pounding of the people.

Aid charities say starvation and the outbreak of disease amid Israel’s long-running brutal aggression on the besieged territory are other major concerns.
