Agreements should be finalized on restoration of JCPOA

Agreements should be finalized on restoration of JCPOA

Referring to the recent meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Board of Governors, Mikhail Ulyanov wrote on his X account, “In the IAEA Board of Governors today Western states outlined a long list of concerns with regard to Iran’s deviations from the JCPOA parameters.”

“Let’s return to negotiations, finalize the agreement on the restoration of JCPOA and concerns will be removed one by one in 4 months,” he added.

Ulyanov’s remarks came as the three countries of France, Germany, and the UK (E3), on the sidelines of the quarterly meeting of the IAEA, claimed that Iran did not adhere to the commitments of last March’s joint statement with the IAEA.

Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency told the IAEA Board of Governors on Monday that Iran continues to increase its stockpile of uranium with 60 percent enrichment and has made no progress in forcing a credible explanation for the existence of illegal uranium effects in undeclared nuclear sites.

Previously, Rafael Grossi, in his preliminary statement at the beginning of the meeting of the Board of Governors of the IAEA, called on Iran to cooperate honestly and steadily with the IAEA in order to implement the obligations contained in the joint statement.

Last Monday, the IAEA claimed in a confidential report to the members of this organization that Iran has slowed down the enrichment of uranium with a purity level of 60%.

Earlier, diplomatic sources in Vienna said that no resolution against the Islamic Republic of Iran is going to be issued at the meeting of the Agency’s Board of Governors.
