The foreign ministers of Iran and Qatar have discussed Israel’s ongoing brutal war against the Gaza Strip, reiterating their call for an immediate end to the regime’s war crimes and the dispatch of humanitarian aid to the besieged territory.

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian held a phone conversation with his Qatari counterpart Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani on Tuesday to exchange views about the recent developments in Palestine as well as the Gaza Strip.

During the phone call, the two sides discussed the ongoing genocide in Gaza and the dire humanitarian situation there, emphasizing the need to immediately stop the war crimes against the territory and deliver immediate aid to the homeless people of Palestine.

They also exchanged views on the latest status of efforts and diplomatic initiatives to stop the brutal aggression of the Israeli regime against Gaza.

The two top diplomats also discussed the issue of bombing the headquarters of the Qatari Committee for the Reconstruction of Gaza.

Israel waged the war on Gaza on October 7 after the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas carried out the surprise Operation Al-Aqsa Storm into the occupied territories in response to the occupying regime’s intensified crimes against the Palestinian people.

According to the Gaza-based health ministry, at least 11,250 Palestinians have been killed in the strikes, most of them women and children.

Tel Aviv has also imposed a “complete siege” on Gaza, cutting off fuel, electricity, food and water to the more than two million Palestinians living there.
