Madannapet police registered a POCSO case against a madrasa cleric following a complaint by a minor boy’s mother. The suspect allegedly showed obscene videos to the child and threatened him against disclosing the incident. The boy received support at Bharosa Centre.

Hyderabad: The Madannapet police have registered a POCSO case against a cleric at Madrasa for allegedly misbehaving with a minor boy.
As per information available information, the suspect showed obscene videos to the minor student and behaved inappropriately with him. The cleric further allegedly threatened the child against revealing the incident to anyone.
Following the complaint lodged by the boy’s mother, the cleric was booked and case is under investigation.
The boy has been shifted to a Bharosa Centre for recording his statement and providing necessary psychological support.
