Hyderabad: The Rotary Club of Hyderabad Deccan (RCHD), with Premier Energies as the presenting sponsor, held the third edition of its annual fundraising rally, Hyderabad Shaan-e-Deccan, a Time, Speed and Distance (TSD) car rally aimed at raising funds for cancer detection.
Early detection and access to advanced equipment are crucial in healthcare, said Simran Maini, president of RCHD.
“Raising funds for the Tissue Processor and Cryostat shows how we step up bigger and better each year towards our goal of Service Above Self,” she said.
The rally began at The Trilight in Kokapet and concluded at 17 Degree North Club in Shankarpally after covering a route around Hyderabad. Participants competed for awards in seven categories: Corporate, Amateur, All Women, All Men, Best Dressed Car, Best Dressed Team and Best Reel uploaded on social media.
Actor Sai Durgha Tej flagged off the rally in the presence of Uday Pilani, District Governor of Rotary District 3150; Chiranjeev Saluja, managing director of Premier Energies; Amarbir Palta, president of sales and marketing at MYK Laticrete; and Simran Maini, president of RCHD.
