The Tolichowki police arrested eight persons for allegedly trafficking and sexually exploiting a minor girl and forcing her into prostitution in Hyderabad’s Attapur area. Police said the victim was moved through multiple accused before being handed over to a suspected brothel operator.

Hyderabad: The Tolichowki police have arrested eight persons for allegedly trafficking and sexually exploiting a minor girl after forcing her into prostitution in Attapur.
According to police, the victim was allegedly taken from Tolichowki on September 2, by Shaik Atif and handed over to two women, Afreen alias Sana and Samreen Begum, who reportedly transferred her to Sabiya Begum, a suspected brothel operator in Attapur.
Police said Rs 30,000 was allegedly paid in connection with the exploitation. The girl escaped on October 5 and approached her family, following which a complaint was lodged.
A case was booked and eight suspects were arrested. Police seized six mobile phones and an auto-rickshaw allegedly used to transport the victim.
