A 25-year-old Armed Reserve constable, Nibhash, allegedly died by suicide at his residence in Hyderabad’s Amberpet following a failed love affair. Police said he had messaged friends before the incident, prompting them to alert authorities. An investigation is underway

Hyderabad: An Armed Reserve (AR) constable died by suicide allegedly following a failed love affair at his house in Amberpet on Sunday.
The cop was identified as Nibhash(25), an AR constable posted at Petlaburj. He was residing in Tirumalanagar and was reportedly in a relationship with a young woman. However, her family members were said to have opposed their marriage.
According to Amberpet Inspector Kiran Kumar, Nibhash had sent WhatsApp messages to some of his friends informing them that he was going to take the extreme step. Alarmed by the messages, his friends alerted the police.
By the time they reached his residence, Nibhash was found hanging from a ceiling fan using a saree.
The Amberpet Police are investigating the investigating the circumstances that led to the constable’s death.
