Hyderabad: Sudanese national rescued after alleged suicide attempt in Hussain Sagar

A Sudanese national was rescued after allegedly attempting to end his life by jumping into Hussain Sagar near the Dr BR Ambedkar Secretariat in Hyderabad. Saifabad police pulled him out using a rope and handed him over to Lake Police.

Hyderabad: Sudanese national rescued after alleged suicide attempt in Hussain Sagar

Hyderabad: A foreign national was rescued by Saifabad police after he allegedly attempted to end his life by jumping into Hussain Sagar near the Dr.B.R.Ambedkar Secretariat on Wednesday.

The incident occurred in front of the Secretariat, where Saifabad police personnel deployed for duty noticed the man entering the lake.


Acting swiftly, the police used a rope to pull him out of the water and rescued him safely. The man was identified as a Sudanese national. After the rescue, Saifabad police handed him over to Lake Police for further inquiry.

Lake Police are questioning him to ascertain the reasons behind his alleged suicide attempt and are investigating the circumstances that led to the incident.
