Additional DCP J. Narsaiah has been recommended for the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service on Independence Day 2026. A 1991-batch Sub-Inspector, he has served for over 35 years and played key roles in anti-Naxal operations and major investigations.

J Narsaiah recommended for President’s Medal for Distinguished Service

Hyderabad: Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Secunderabad Zone) J. Narsaiah has been recommended for the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service (PSM) on the occasion of Independence Day 2026.

A 1991-batch Sub-Inspector, Narsaiah has completed over 35 years of service in the police department and currently serves in the Hyderabad Police Commissionerate.


Narsaiah played key roles in anti-Naxal operations, investigations into several sensational murder cases, and the detection of a counterfeit currency racket involving fake notes allegedly printed in Pakistan.
He also contributed to solving major cases in the older parts of the city and assisted in the arrest of key suspects in the Odeon Theatre bomb blast case.
