No enemy strike hit Bushehr nuclear plant; media claims unfounded

A Press TV investigation has rejected an Al Jazeera report claiming that recent US strikes damaged Iran’s Bushehr nuclear power plant as field inspections and inquiries with officials found no evidence that the facility itself was hit.

The response comes after Al Jazeera published an analysis of satellite imagery on Friday, claiming it had identified apparent impact marks inside the Bushehr nuclear complex between July 7 and July 12.

Press TV launched an on-the-ground investigation following the publication of the report and contacted relevant Iranian authorities to verify the claims.

According to the investigation, the findings showed that no projectile had struck inside the Bushehr nuclear power plant during the period in question.

The investigation noted that the satellite images released by Al Jazeera does not show the impact site claimed inside the report.

The strikes carried out by US enemy has landed outside the boundaries of the nuclear facility, it said, adding that the darkened area visible in the satellite imagery corresponds to a green space outside the operational sections of the complex rather than an administrative or sensitive part of the plant.
