ECI allows voters living abroad or outside State to submit enumeration forms online

Hyderabad: Eligible voters who are working abroad or residing in another city for employment can still take part in the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls process in the State. The Election Commission of India (ECI) has made a provision for such voters to submit their enumeration forms even without being physically present.

As per the ECI, the enumeration form of the concerned elector who is working abroad or in another State may be handed over to an adult member of the family. They can fill in the details of that unavailable elector in the enumeration form, sign on behalf of the elector, and submit it to the Booth Level Officer (BLO).

Further, all voters who are out of station need not worry about the ongoing SIR, as the ECI provided a mechanism for submitting the enumeration forms even in absentia.

If an elector or their entire family is out of station during the house-to-house enumeration phase, they can utilise the option of submitting an online enumeration form, which can be accessed through the ECI’s official portal at https://voters.eci.gov.in. This facility enables electors to complete the process even when they are not physically present at their residence.
