K S Arihant of Tamil Nadu and Aryaa Dwivedi of Telangana won the men’s and women’s titles, respectively, at the NMDC Telangana Open Squash Championship in Hyderabad. The event also concluded with finals across junior and masters categories

Hyderabad: K S Arihant (Tamil Nadu) and Aryaa Dwivedi (Telangana) emerged champions in the men’s and women’s categories, respectively, at the NMDC Telangana Open Squash Championship at Secunderabad Club here on Wednesday.
Top seed Arihant defeated fellow Tamil Nadu player PR Sandhesh 11-7, 9-11, 11-3, 8-11, 11-5 in a final that swung back and forth before K S closed it out in the decider.
In the women’s final, top seed Aryaa Dwivedi outclassed B S Sreya (Kerala) in straight games, 11-9, 11-3, 11-7.
